Hey, my gorgeous darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back with another fabulous adventure from your favourite pink-tutu-wearing, ballet-loving, sparkle-obsessed drag queen! Today, I'm taking you on a journey to the charming town of Bishop Auckland, nestled in the heart of County Durham.
You know how I feel about travel, darlings! Whether it's a glamorous train journey (with a perfectly-coordinated pink ensemble, of course), or a majestic ride on horseback, I'm all for exploring the beauty of the world – and looking absolutely fabulous while I'm doing it. And this trip was no exception.
Bishop Auckland is steeped in history, you know? It’s got a stunning castle that takes you back in time, and a thriving market where you can find treasures and goodies galore. Oh, and speaking of treasures – let’s talk about my outfit!
I knew I had to bring a touch of the dramatic to Bishop Auckland, so I chose a cascading, full-length, baby pink tutu, embellished with sequins that glittered under the Northern sun. A shimmering pink halter top and feathered pink boa completed the look – you know I couldn't resist a touch of flamboyance! I wore my signature platform heels, adding a few extra inches to my already statuesque frame, and accessorized with my beloved crystal earrings and my sparkly pink handbag – a real collector’s item, darling!
First stop, the stunning Bishop Auckland Castle. Now, this isn't just any castle, you know? It's been the home of the Bishop of Durham since the 12th century. It's truly awe-inspiring, with towering walls, opulent rooms and breath-taking views over the countryside. I felt like a real-life princess, darling!
I explored the castle's opulent State Rooms, where I almost stepped on a real-life prince, not in a royal way, darling, he was just admiring my outfit – the power of the Pink Tutu, you know! I've got to tell you, this castle is absolutely incredible – a truly unforgettable experience.
Then, it was off to Bishop Auckland Market. Oh my goodness, the vibrancy of this place is simply exhilarating! So much life, energy and of course, an absolute wealth of treasures. From vintage finds and artisan crafts to local produce, there’s something for everyone. It's the perfect spot for finding unique and beautiful gifts, and I, of course, went wild!
Now, I couldn’t resist grabbing a yummy ice cream cone (double scoops, pink swirls, naturally!) before heading to a local ballet performance. Oh, you guys know how much I love a good ballet show. There's just something so magical and beautiful about it, the grace and precision of the dancers – truly inspiring.
You know what, darling? This whole experience in Bishop Auckland has been absolutely enchanting. It was full of history, art, and a real feeling of community – which I love, of course.
