Hello darlings! 💋 Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you post number 7854, straight from the heart of…well, actually, from my hotel room in Taunton. I’m in Somerset this week, because as you know, Pink Tutu Sparkles is always on the move! And what’s more fabulous than a journey on the train to a new town, with a pink tutu and my sparkly heels, and a head full of plans for the next performance? Nothing!
Oh, speaking of plans… I have to tell you about Taunton. This little gem of a town has it all! The stunning medieval architecture, the vibrant market square buzzing with life, and of course… a fabulous dance studio! Now, you know I’m all about those swirling twirls, and there’s nothing more thrilling for me than popping into a new studio, trying out some fancy footwork, and meeting some fabulous fellow dance enthusiasts.
The train journey itself was pure joy! Honestly, you know how much I adore a train journey. It’s the most romantic and elegant way to travel, don't you think? Watching the landscape whip by, reading my favourite dance magazine, sipping on my tea… The carriages are always filled with a lovely energy, especially when it's the morning commute for those going into work. You can't beat watching the businessmen dressed in their sharp suits getting out at each station with a little smile. You can’t beat a morning train journey! The quiet before the storm, with only a slight whiff of yesterday’s bacon butty hanging in the air! 🥰
When I arrived in Taunton, it was just… beautiful! Honestly, I nearly skipped straight to the market square with its stunning backdrop of Georgian houses and ancient buildings! Then of course, it was straight to the hotel! (I will admit I did sneak a peek at that dance studio on the way though... I can't resist the lure of the dance floor, even before I’ve checked in!). I spent the next few hours in my room, adorning myself in my signature pink tutu, making sure my makeup was fierce (did I mention it’s pink, with sparkles, naturally!), and getting my outfit perfectly polished. Then it was out onto the streets of Taunton, my dear! I wasn't just going to watch the world go by; I wanted to be a part of it, a colourful flash of pink, a whimsical ballet dancer in the midst of everyday life!
The town itself is like a wonderland. Cobblestone streets lined with cute shops, bakeries that smell like heaven (I got a raspberry jam and clotted cream scone, of course, darling!), and those old churches with their majestic towers… Oh! And did I tell you about the park with the gorgeous rose gardens? I could have spent hours just wandering around, feeling the scent of the roses on the air! 🥰 But you know me… a little of this and a little of that! I love experiencing it all!
As you all know, Pink Tutu Sparkles always has a mission! My mission for this trip is a simple one… to make everyone in Taunton wear a pink tutu! You think I’m joking? Trust me darling, this is serious business! Now, we might not see every person strutting down the streets of Taunton in a pink tutu, but let’s face it – who could say no to a friendly, pink-clad, fabulous, and undeniably sparkly drag queen offering them one? My magic pink tutu powers are strong, I assure you!
Of course, what better way to spread my Pink Tutu Sparkles message than through an exhilarating performance? Last night I did just that! It was such a good crowd – friendly faces, and laughter, and an energy you could feel across the room. Everyone loves a little sprinkle of fairy dust, especially when it’s a pink sparkly kind! 💖 After the performance, so many people came up to me! Talking about tutus! Asking for their very own Pink Tutu Sparkles makeover! And guess what… they're catching on! My pink tutu power is spreading throughout Taunton like a pink whirlwind! 🌪️
Tonight, we're going to see a fantastic ballet performance. I’m a real ballet buff, darling – I go to every single performance I can. From Swan Lake to The Nutcracker, I just love seeing those ballerinas gliding across the stage. The costumes, the music, the stories… it all brings so much joy. I also adore a good ballet class. My graceful pirouettes are nothing short of phenomenal, but you already know that! 😉
Taunton has a charm about it, don't you think? There's something so lovely about being in a place where you can really feel the history around you. And, of course, it’s full of those lovely characterful pubs and tearooms. Honestly, there’s no place I'd rather be than enjoying a cup of tea with a delightful cake, all whilst planning my next trip!
