Droitwich Darlings, Prepare for Pink Tutu Sparkle!

Hello lovelies! It's your favourite pink tutu queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another dazzling blog post! This time, I'm bringing you all the glitz and glamour of my recent trip to Droitwich.

This is blog post number 7995, which, for those keeping track, is just a small step closer to achieving my ultimate goal: getting everyone to wear a pink tutu! It’s not about taking over the world, oh no. It’s about celebrating life in all its beautiful, twirling, tulle-filled glory. And let me tell you, Droitwich is a fantastic place to embrace that feeling.

It all began on a beautiful autumn day, with the crisp air swirling leaves and sending a flurry of golden brown and crimson to the ground. Now, you know I'm a firm believer in embracing the drama of the season, so I decided to kick off my Droitwich adventures by making the trip by train, a luxurious mode of transport that just oozes with glamour!

The train journey was a riot of colourful excitement. I wore a fabulous pink ensemble – imagine, if you will, a floor-length pink taffeta dress with a swirling, cascading, and very pink tutu underneath, accessorised with a matching pink beret (naturally, adorned with a sparkling pink feather!). The other passengers, let me tell you, couldn't help but smile! I was spreading a little bit of Pink Tutu Sparkles magic from Derbyshire all the way to Worcestershire. It's about sharing joy and joy only comes in one colour, ladies and gents - pink!

I couldn't wait to step off the train into Droitwich and witness all the beauty this quaint and lovely town had to offer. It reminded me of a beautifully painted picture postcard, a perfect scene of quaint shops and charming cottages adorned with colourful floral displays. I mean, it's almost too idyllic, isn't it? I almost didn't want to believe it was real. But it was!

The next day was a total ballet bonanza! It's no secret, I love ballet. From pirouettes to pliés, the grace, the artistry, and of course the magnificent tutus (those classic white tulle creations!) - it fills me with pure joy. And that's precisely why I booked a full-day ballet workshop in Droitwich, hosted by the incredibly talented Amelia Jones, a renowned ballet teacher from the Birmingham Ballet School.

Picture this: a sunlit studio, the scent of fresh polish on wooden floors, the rhythmic tapping of shoes, and then… boom, a symphony of beautiful, synchronized twirls and leaps. I swear, I practically floated on air. We went through the moves, I got to experiment with a few variations (I know my arabesque is practically a swan lake showstopper!), and best of all, we laughed! Amelia is an absolute delight, so bubbly and encouraging - the perfect teacher for any aspiring ballerina (or tutu queen for that matter!).

Of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without a spot of ballet shopping. Luckily, Droitwich had an enchanting little shop called "The Tutu and Tiara," chock-full of pink tutus (yes, pink tutus!) and sparkly tiaras, with some even fancier embellishments and a selection of pink hats with fluffy pink feathers. I indulged myself with a fluffy pink tutu that matched my beret, with an embroidered pink flower detail for that extra touch of charm and sparkle. (I know, I know - another pink one. I can't help myself!).

As you all know, I'm a firm believer that every day can be a drag show. It's about expressing yourself, shining your light on the world, and showing that you can embrace the sparkle without needing a special occasion. It’s not always just about being in a pink tutu either! It’s also about the little things, like dressing up, adding a touch of whimsy to an otherwise ordinary day and celebrating life.

Of course, a trip to Droitwich wouldn't be complete without a performance! I was invited to perform at the annual "Droitwich Town Hall Festivities," a dazzling showcase of local talent. It's a stage where people come together to celebrate the diversity of our community, and guess what - it's the perfect platform for some Pink Tutu Sparkles magic!

I put on a dazzling show with a colourful combination of ballet moves, twirls, and acrobatics, set to some fabulous pop anthems. Imagine, if you will, me gliding across the stage, spinning in my signature pink tutu, while showcasing the playful moves and intricate dance moves I learnt during the ballet workshop. It was absolutely magical!

Let's not forget the most important part of any Pink Tutu Sparkles show: spreading positivity and encouraging people to embrace their inner sparkle, however they want to express it.

You know me, I'm all about inclusivity. Every single person, whether they identify as a man, woman, or something else, is capable of owning their own fabulous, unique style.

As the night wound down, I felt completely elated. It was an unforgettable journey through Droitwich, brimming with joy, laughter, and lots of pink! If there's one thing I love, it's sharing my passion with you all and reminding you to find your inner spark. I encourage you all to follow in my footsteps, explore, discover new places, try something new, and maybe, just maybe, slip on a pink tutu. You'll be amazed by how much it can transform your world.

Now, who wants to dance?

Love and sparkle,

Pink Tutu Sparkles
