Solihull Sparkle: Post Number 8019

Hello darlings! Your favourite pink tutu wearing queen is back with another sparkling post! Today, I'm in the lovely town of Solihull, where I'm performing at the annual Christmas Market - oh, what a joy it is!

I'm positively buzzing from my journey here. You see, I have this thing for trains. Not just any trains though, the old fashioned, rattling kind, with compartments and views. The steam trains that let out little puffs of smoke. And so, naturally, I had to hop on one from my lovely hometown of Derbyshire. A bit of a journey but worth it! Plus, they even let you bring your own food and drink on board, which makes a journey that bit more glam. A couple of Pink Tutu Sparklers and some posh sandwiches later, I'm in Solihull, ready to paint the town pink!

Speaking of painting the town, darling, Solihull is so charming. I could not resist snapping a selfie in front of a beautiful Victorian church with a clock tower. I popped on my best pink bow-tie for the picture โ€“ a touch of colour against the elegant grey stone, like a pink rose in a formal garden. Then I had to go and get my fix of tea, darling, you know me! This adorable tea room called 'The Crumpet Crumble' is the perfect place for an afternoon treat. It even had a rainbow meringue, oh my! I just had to try it.

So, after a perfect day filled with quaint charm and cake, it's time for the big event, the Christmas Market! You know, every now and again Iโ€™m reminded just how much I love to travel around the country, performing for you lovely lot. The stage was set up beautifully in a square with fairy lights everywhere and beautiful stalls selling hand-crafted goods, tasty local foods and, of course, lots and lots of pink! It made my heart flutter, really! I can tell this is going to be a fabulous night.

Let me tell you about this look, lovelies. A deep red, almost burgundy, satin dress, a fluffy pink boa to bring the colour, and, of course, a dazzlingly glittery, hot pink tulle tutu with matching wristlets and even a sparkly hair bow. The crowds erupted in cheers as I finished the last note, all the Christmas lights seemed to twinkle in a fabulous celebration! My heart practically burst.

This is what itโ€™s all about โ€“ that moment, the moment that brings everyone together. Even after my performance, the Christmas spirit continued, people were snapping photos with me and even some lovely children came up to me asking about the pink tutu! So I started my quest. One by one, I handed out the little pink tutu's that I carried in my bag for each child and you could see the smiles light up. One girl in particular just giggled as she received the tutu and rushed off to show her parents! That was enough to make this queen melt. I love it! I could see they werenโ€™t used to seeing a Pink Tutu Sparkles, I mean let's face it, you'd be hard pushed to find many drag queens sporting tutus around here!

So as my journey comes to an end, a gentle reminder darling. Always bring the sparkle. Always bring the fun. If there's one thing Pink Tutu Sparkles knows it's how to put a bit of pink into the world. So until next time, stay sparkling! And remember โ€“ wear a pink tutu every day!

xx
