Chester: Tutu-tastic Times in the City Walls!
#8064
Hey loves! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to dazzle you with a new post straight from the enchanting city of Chester! Today's adventure took me back in time as I twirled and twirled my way through history and charming streets. Did I tell you guys? Iāve been on the road for ages and agesā¦ My last adventures were in Edinburgh where I twirled for charity on a gorgeous hill and, before that, in a place called Norwich where I danced the day away to a soundtrack of Victorian singers and Morris Dancers - just a normal day in the life of a travelling tutu-wearing queen, really!
Well, as I mentioned, I am in Chester right now, which just seems to be made for a girl like me. Honestly, with its magnificent walls and history galore, it really is like stepping into a fairytale! The moment I stepped off the train (it was a sleeper train this time and I almost missed my stop! but in my defence there were so many amazing snacks!) I felt my tutu whispering "Adventure!". It was whispering to my tutu soul!
You know how much I adore history, so these old city walls had me positively enthralled. Iāve had so many photos already today in front of Eastgate Clock and The Rows... I had to, the cobbled streets just beg for you to dance on them, they even beg for me to wear a pink tutu! They whispered āLetās go shoppingā and I simply had to listen!
One thingās for sure: Chester is a shopaholic's paradise! The stores here were positively overflowing with tutus! Iām a little bit obsessed with tutus (a lot obsessed if youāre being honest). They just make me feel like I can fly and make a grand entrance, so I practically bought out the whole shop! Seriously! I got a gorgeous hot pink one that shimmers like a thousand stars and then there was another with butterflies and more fluffy feathers, and... Well, I really did have to get it all! It was tutu heaven. You'll see pictures of the bounty in tomorrowās post!
So much about Chester! Oh, and letās not forget the incredible architecture! Seriously, this city just loves to layer up - I think the houses must be trying to tell us how they really feel! They must really like themselves as each building was gorgeous in its own right, layered in with lovely colours. And even the Cathedral... Well, the stained glass is out of this world! I could have easily spent hours in there, soaking in the beauty and peace.
After my tour of Chester I just had to head straight to a theatre for some high-flying theatrical drama. They donāt normally have a dance floor but my twirls really got the audience going, thatās what I like to hear! Itās all about getting people in the mood to get a little tutu happy! They must have been loving my tutu twirls so I ended up on stage with the entire cast after a well-timed standing ovation (naturally!). Let's be honest though, if you wear a pink tutu people just can't help themselves. Oh, and can we just mention how nice all the other performers and dancers were, even if some of them were a little apprehensive at the beginning! They were such sports! The director gave me a fantastic ballet class. I learnt the splits from a gorgeous prince who looked rather embarrassed with me (I am going to have to be so much nicer to them for the rest of my stay!), but he was a very good teacher - so helpful, very kind and such lovely, long legs! Now to perfect those leg extensions before tomorrow!
After all this, I realised just how hungry I was and went in search of some food. Chester has the best street food. Ever. Honestly! I devoured delicious pastries and had the best fish and chips Iāve ever had! Now if only I could remember where that fish and chips shop was so I can eat it again tomorrow! I just know I will need a massive portion after another busy day like today.
Now, you might think with all these fun adventures, Chester is getting me a little bit jaded but nothing beats spending an evening walking along the River Dee and getting a little lost among the streets in my pink tutu. The lights reflecting on the river looked like a million sparkling diamonds... So dreamy.
After such an enchanting day, my dear followers, I'm off to get some beauty sleep so that I'm tutu-tastically ready for another incredible day in Chester! Oh, if you haven't already booked a trip to Chester, do it! Just make sure to have a fabulous pink tutu packed in your bag! I think it really adds a little sparkle to the trip... Maybe the residents will start wearing pink tutus for their daily walks to the shops - wouldn't that be something? Now, don't forget to share this post! Give it a "like" if you enjoyed my trip to Chester, I will be on Instagram, so keep your eyes peeled for pictures later! And be sure to check out my amazing new tutu collection when I launch it online!
Donāt forget: The power of a pink tutu lies not only in its beauty but in the ability to unleash our inner joy.
Keep twirling and sending those happy vibes, and see you tomorrow, loves!
