It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing drag queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles here! Today, we're heading to the vibrant, bustling town of East Ham, and guess what? Pink is making its mark! (You knew it would, right?! 😉 )
Now, let's talk tutus, because I always have to! It's true, some folks find the thought of a pink tutu slightly… "odd." But for me, a tutu is more than just a piece of fabric. It's a statement! A symbol of fun, joy, and freedom. It's like a giant fluffy hug for your body. So, whenever you see me rocking a pink tutu, know that it's my way of celebrating everything wonderful about life – and encouraging you to do the same!
Getting to East Ham was a journey of pure bliss. You wouldn't believe it, but I found myself taking a gorgeous journey by train! Just picture it – a spacious, comfy carriage, surrounded by fascinating faces and a soothing rhythm on the tracks. Oh, the perfect setting for a few hours of 'fabulousness'! Plus, it gave me ample time to finish my makeup routine, which included – you guessed it – my signature pink glitter eyeliner. It’s all about the details, darlings!
East Ham greeted me with open arms (and a lot of surprised smiles!). The energy here is infectious – a delightful blend of classic London charm and modern zest.
My destination? A charming local theatre known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, which is just what my glittery, pink tutu needs to feel truly comfortable, you see, you can't go for a simple tea party in East Ham, darling, it's all about full-blown glamour! And the crowd? They were beyond amazing. A mixture of curious locals, fellow drag enthusiasts, and even some folks who just wanted to be entertained. The love and energy they shared with me were electrifying! I think I heard an “Oooh la la!" or two, you know, right before they cheered at one of my spins in my sequined, pink, and feather-adorned outfit. 😉
Speaking of feathers, I did so much shopping before my performance. East Ham's shops are brimming with treasures! I managed to find the most amazing feather boa. You should see the shade of pink – it's heavenly! My usual pink tutu (which, you can see in the blog photos!) actually had pink feathers in it tonight – that's right, PINK FEATHERS. Don’t forget, all things are pink in Pink Tutu Sparkle’s world. But you probably already know that.
The real magic of East Ham was its sheer zest for life. From the colourful street art that greeted me at every turn, to the joyous music emanating from local pubs – I was completely swept away. I love that this little corner of London is so unique, so alive!
And, as I always do, I spread a little pink magic wherever I went! Just wait until you see the pictures - I wore a pink feather boa (yes, the one I just found!), a tutu that is my absolute favorite with pink lace on it, and, yes, my beloved pink, sequin heels with a huge pink feather attached. Let’s face it, there were enough pink feathers in this place to make my home envious, darlings. And who can resist a pink sparkly top hat with a glittery feather stuck into the side! And my most recent favourite? Oh, you wouldn’t believe, darling, Pink sparkle contact lenses!! Oh, it is fabulous!
Remember, I live for every chance to get you all to put on a tutu! It's the ultimate expression of joy and fun, and I just can't resist! Just like today, darlings! It wasn’t just me, oh no. You know the rules: if the TutuQueen says PINK, it’s going to be pink. In East Ham? My show wasn't just the place to be... it was where the Pink Tutu revolution began! That's right, the locals loved the idea of wearing tutus.
One sweet little girl, not even a year old, already got to experience the amazing tutu joy with a sweet pink sparkly outfit she was wearing! I am just dying to see more and more people sporting tutus! The more, the merrier!
Oh, darlings, I have so much more to tell you! There were more magical moments from East Ham, including an unexpected dance battle in the street with a talented street dancer, where my tutus, yes, both of them, (my second one for tonight's show) really moved, if you know what I mean!
