Today’s journey is a little closer to home, well, relatively, a train ride and a jaunty trot on horseback to Kingswood, that’s right, the picturesque and vibrant village in our very own Derbyshire. I always find a little home comfort to be the perfect place to start a trip!
As a reminder for my lovely newbies, I am Pink Tutu Sparkles, and by day I am just Alex, your friendly neighbourhood scientist by day and glitter-infused fairy godmother by night! You know, if that fairy godmother spent a little too long browsing through the ‘pink tutus’ section online and stumbled upon a magical shop selling sparkly tiaras and iridescent feathers. But shh, let's keep that secret. You’re all in on it, so I can confess, there’s something undeniably whimsical about a sparkly tutu that draws you in like a moth to a flickering candlelight. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself!
So, imagine, dear reader, if you will, the familiar Derbyshire scenery whizzing by as I relax in the plush plush seats of the train. A big grin stretched across my face, a pink sequined bag nestled between my knees and, of course, my signature, magnificent pink tutu swishing gently alongside me. A few whispers of 'Look, it's Pink Tutu Sparkles' reached my ears as I passed, my fellow passengers clearly familiar with the magic I bring wherever I go! The train carriage has become my personal catwalk! Every journey is a showstopper, don’t you agree?
I wouldn’t be travelling to the breathtaking, storybook-worthy Kingswood for anything less than something fabulous, now would I? There’s a dazzling display of ballet on offer, a beautiful combination of dance, drama and grace, performed by a delightful collection of aspiring ballerinas and talented dancers. They’ll be gliding and twirling through their performance, and I can’t wait to be swept away by the magic of their performance. Their artistic talent is absolutely breathtaking, and their dedication is an inspiration. You know I just love watching young talents take flight and express their passion with grace and beauty, oh the drama, the spectacle, it simply thrills my soul!
Then, of course, a proper day out isn't complete without a delightful stroll through the charming streets of Kingswood. The vibrant colours, the traditional pubs with their quaint window boxes filled with colourful blooms, the bustling market stalls filled with locally made treasures… just picture it! There's a whole village filled with potential fashion inspiration just waiting to be discovered. Perhaps a delightful hat for my next performance, a new accessory to complete my look? You can imagine, darling dears, the possibilities are as boundless as the beautiful sky above us!
Tonight, under the enchanting glow of the stage lights, I'll be adding my own touch of magic to the evening's entertainment, transforming the audience into my own captivated following. With my vibrant pink tutu fluttering as I shimmy and sashay, the air will be filled with infectious joy, laughter, and maybe even a few glittery tears of pure unadulterated happiness! Just think of the dazzling outfits, the extravagant hair, the shimmering makeup, oh it will be glorious! Because remember, darling dears, even in my most extravagant get-ups, at the end of it all, I’m just a regular girl with a passion for pink tutus.
