Hello my gorgeous little sparkles! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to share all the fun I had exploring the Thames Valley! You know I'm all about embracing the pink and the sparkle, and this trip was no exception! I kicked off my adventure, as always, with a touch of pink magic! You know I love travelling by train! A whistle, a puff of smoke, and I'm whisked away to new and exciting destinations. It's the perfect setting for channeling my inner ballerina and feeling like a total star on the way. It always brings a big, happy grin to my face, you can bet on it!
And this time, the journey was even more special – a fellow traveller was sporting a gorgeous lilac tutu, making it an even more magical train ride. I told her about the Pink Tutu Movement, you know my mission to bring the world a touch more sparkle! She absolutely loved the idea and even told me about a fantastic ballet performance happening in Reading! I told her I was actually heading there myself for a performance later that week, couldn't miss the opportunity to wear my most vibrant pink tutu for the crowd. The universe truly does conspire to bring tutu magic!
When I arrived in Earley, I felt the air thrumming with a special energy – a mix of the historic, the modern, and a touch of the mischievous! Just my cup of tea! I knew it was going to be a dazzling time! Earley’s a proper gem, tucked away in the beautiful countryside. There's such a sweet charm about it! I felt right at home in this picturesque spot, just begging for a touch of my vibrant pink magic.
The first order of the day – a visit to Earley Gate. Oh, how stunning! You see those brick walls and imagine centuries of stories unfolding around you. This spot oozed history. Every little crevice had a tale to tell, every stone whispered secrets! Then, a delightful wander to the gorgeous St. Peter's Church. The air seemed to hum with peace and calm there! I have to tell you, the gardens were my absolute favourite – bursting with colour and life. It’s all you want in a garden, right? Flowers in every colour you can think of and, of course, that delicious smell of fresh cut grass - I even added a sprinkle of pink petal powder on the daisies for some extra glamour. You gotta own the glamour, love!
Next up – some delightful shopping therapy at the local boutiques! A splurge on some beautiful sparkly shoes that twinkled with each step. Who can resist, right? Gotta admit I also found a darling little pink hat to match! It’s gonna be perfect for adding a pop of fun to my next drag show! Shopping always boosts my mood, even if it means just finding the perfect pair of glittery socks for my tutu outfit!
But you know my heart belongs on stage! And Earley really knows how to appreciate a drag queen. I took to the stage that night for a fantastic show! You should have seen it! The crowd went wild! I had everyone from young to old, even some dapper fellows who had never experienced the beauty of drag, caught up in my magical world. It was all pink tutus, high kicks, and glitter, with a sprinkle of joy for good measure! You can check it out, I recorded some of it.
After my show, a kind fan, she’d seen me from across the room in a pink tutu and glitter, of course, invited me to a special gala event. It was all elegant outfits, chandeliers, and a truly breathtaking ballet performance. It just reinforced that dancing, it’s so captivating. A whole world opens up on that stage, a world of imagination and expression, pure magic. I danced right alongside the audience and it felt perfect, like I'd stepped right out of a dream!
I finished off the night with a stroll through Earley’s bustling nightlife. There were a whole range of lovely bars with that cozy feeling that makes you feel so welcomed. A whole mix of locals out and about, sharing laughter and stories, enjoying the lively atmosphere! The local charm was infectious. I can’t help myself but, when in Earley, I must have a go on the iconic red double decker buses that whiz past! The iconic red of the buses and the bright pink of my tutu? You just know it was magical, I’m even thinking of designing a tutu pattern to match those iconic buses for my next costume!
Overall, my trip to Earley was simply unforgettable! A trip I'll treasure forever, with the dazzling memories of laughter, love, sparkle, and of course, my favourite shade: pink! It's been a journey that made me realize how magic is everywhere, just waiting for you to spot it. So my beautiful friends, wherever life takes you, embrace your inner sparkle!
