Hey there, darlings! It's your favourite tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and I'm thrilled to share post number 8220 with you all, straight from the delightful town of Bicester! I must admit, I'm feeling quite the 'sparkle' this morning – a delicious mix of excitement, sunshine, and, of course, the undeniable pink hue that my whole life revolves around.
My day began with a very important ritual - checking my wardrobe, naturally! For a trip to Bicester, it had to be something both comfy and stylish. So I decided on a blush pink pleated tulle skirt (I just love the way it flows!), paired with a powder pink silk blouse, my trusty pearl-encrusted ballet flats, and a splash of cherry blossom pink lipstick. Gotta keep it cute and fabulous, don't ya think?
Speaking of 'fabulous', did you know I actually travel a lot? I know, shocking, right? A tutu-wearing queen on the move? Who would have thunk it! But I can't stay in Derbyshire forever, darlings. I have a mission, remember? To spread the love of pink tutus, to the world! (Well, at least to Britain for now, but you never know…)
Anyway, today's journey was by train, and what a gorgeous day for it! The sun was shining, the clouds were puffy and white, and the countryside whizzed past like a dream in green and gold. I'm a bit of a train buff, actually. Something about the rhythm of the tracks and the gentle swaying motion – pure bliss!
Then came the big reveal! The main reason I was venturing to Bicester was for a very special reason – the "Ballet in Bloom" event! A stunning showcase of local talent, featuring dance, music, and the absolute best part – a fabulous ballet boutique with a glorious collection of tutus! Can you imagine, a whole shop filled with the fluffy, swishy wonders of the dance world? My heart was absolutely dancing!
Oh, and they had this amazing afternoon tea set up with the cutest little finger sandwiches and a tower of pink macarons! Swoon The afternoon flew by as I watched talented young dancers gracefully spin and leap across the stage. They were a delight, so full of passion and artistry. It really did make my heart soar.
Of course, the highlight of the whole trip had to be the opportunity to meet the absolutely lovely ladies who own the boutique. Turns out they are huge fans of Pink Tutu Sparkles, and we even got to discuss a potential collaboration – a line of tutus inspired by me?! My head almost spun with excitement! Maybe we could even do a "Pink Tutu Sparkles" tour of the shop – teaching kids all about tutus and confidence and letting them try on their favourite styles? (Fingers crossed!)
As evening approached, I decided it was time to head home. And guess what? I ended up taking a lovely carriage ride with a friendly gentleman. Honestly, who would have thought a trip to Bicester would involve horses! But it was so much fun, a delightful and nostalgic way to end the day.
