Oh, darlings, itās been such a whirlwind! Last night I sashayed my way onto the stage in Pont-y-pool, and I have to tell you, it was an absolute dream! You know how I adore exploring new places, and thereās just something about the charmingly industrial feel of Wales that sets my fashion-loving heart aflutter. Itās like a little taste of Victorian glam mixed with the whimsy of a magical woodland!
Speaking of whimsy, the show was a total hoot! My fabulous frock for the evening was a blush pink tulle dream, all shimmering sequins and cascading layers ā I swear, the train could have launched a thousand boats! And my wig? Letās just say it was a full-bodied explosion of candy floss, all the better to bounce around under the stage lights. Oh, how I love that moment when you first hit the stage, and the music starts pumping and your outfit is ready to shimmy! The energy is just...electrifying.
Itās always an adventure getting to these gigs, and this one was no different. Now, you know me, darlings, I canāt resist a good train journey! The carriage windows were speckled with sunshine, casting rainbows of colours over my pink tutu, and I had the most fabulous view of the Welsh countryside. It was all rolling green hills and quaint stone villages, just begging for a little dose of Pink Tutu Sparkle!
Of course, I had my trusty ballet bag in tow, packed with a new pink sequined leotard and some fluffy, shimmering leg warmers ā always prepared, my dears! In fact, before the show, I even squeezed in a little ballet practice session at the local dance school. You see, ballet is my happy place! I absolutely adore the discipline and artistry, and the feeling of pure exhilaration you get from those perfect pirouettes! Plus, the graceful movement just suits my flowing pink tutus, doesnāt it?
I was just lucky enough to be hosted by a delightful lady who was mad for fashion ā and tutus! I swear, she must have had an entire wardrobe dedicated to fluffy pink numbers. She insisted on making me tea and showing me all her favourite shops ā oh, the amazing clothes we found!
But, as always, itās not just the outfits that make the magic. I always have the absolute best time meeting people and spreading a bit of Pink Tutu Sparkle! This time, I was lucky enough to meet a young girl named Lily. Sheās just started learning ballet and told me about how she dreamt of being a princess in a pink tutu one day! Well, you can imagine I just about burst with pride. She had this spark in her eye that reminded me of why I started this whole Pink Tutu Sparkles journey! I canāt wait until I have my own ballet school full of little ballerinas in pink! Now thatās a dream Iām determined to make a reality.
The real heart of being Pink Tutu Sparkles isnāt just about the pink and the sparkles, my dears. Itās about joy, itās about embracing life with a smile on your face, a pink tutu on your legs, and the knowledge that anything is possible! You know me, I love my life, and being Pink Tutu Sparkles is definitely a big part of that! But before I trade my lab coat for a tutu, I have to talk a little bit about my āday jobā. Itās probably not as exciting as performing on stage, but trust me, it's still pretty fascinating!
See, Iām a textile scientist, which basically means I spend my days playing with fabric. Yes, itās a real thing! And the most fascinating part? I actually get to test the sturdiness and quality of all sorts of materials! Who knew fabric could be so complex? But, the real reason I love it? It actually helps me with my pink tutu designs! The way I see it, each one of my looks is a sort of experiment in creativity! We have to get creative and strong and find a new, vibrant approach. Thereās always something new to learn!
