Bromsgrove Sparkle: Post #8228
Oh darlings, how's my favourite bunch of tutu-tastic souls doing? You can't imagine how absolutely thrilled I am to be writing this post from the enchanting town of Bromsgrove! It feels like a scene from a fairytale, and it's a day I've been looking forward to for ages. Now, I know what you're thinking, "Pink Tutu Sparkles in Bromsgrove? What's the connection?". Well, darlings, let me spill the tea! This beautiful little town is the birthplace of ballet legend, Dame Margot Fonteyn, the ultimate goddess of graceful movement and pink tulle, and let me tell you, it is giving me major inspiration!
I started my day like every queen should – with a generous amount of glitter and a pot of tea as hot as my desire to dance. Today's look? It's all about channeling my inner Fonteyn, of course! Imagine a powder-pink tutu, perfectly poufed with enough tulle to make a swan jealous, shimmering with sequins as dazzling as a ballroom disco ball, and topped with a cascade of fuchsia feathers. But hold your horses (pun totally intended!) it's not all frills and fluff, I've got to maintain that sciency side of myself! This dreamy pink dress is paired with my signature laboratory-approved "Science of Sparkle" belt, adorned with tiny flasks and beakers, just to keep things interesting!
Oh, speaking of interesting, the journey to Bromsgrove was an adventure in itself! I was going to go the scenic route, taking a coach across the picturesque English countryside, you know, really soaking up the nature. But, surprise! I bumped into a fellow queen at the station, dressed as a fluffy bunny! Talk about a coincidence! We ended up hopping a train together and shared a delicious breakfast of pink doughnuts, with a good helping of gossipy giggles! You wouldn't believe the story about the dragon queen in Nottingham… oh, but that's for another post!
The highlight of my Bromsgrove day? Honestly, it’s hard to pick! There’s the incredible view from the hilltop – stunning rolling green hills and charming cobblestone streets, you wouldn’t believe it! I swear, I could have stood there and admired it for hours. But then, the charm of St. John's Church almost steals the show! Imagine this: gothic arches, soaring stained glass windows that shimmer with rainbows and an atmosphere of serenity so potent you can practically feel it.
However, let me tell you about this fantastic tea shop I found tucked away in a corner! Now, they know how to cater to a drag queen! Not just one, but four varieties of pink tea! You know, with strawberries and hibiscus and elderflower – heaven! My lips haven't stopped chattering about the lemon and elderflower tart they served me with it. You know, just slightly dusted with glitter. Divine!
Now, let's talk about the real highlight – dancing, of course! You know that I can’t go anywhere without a ballet class! Imagine, my tutu is swishing, my feathers are fluttering, my pink eyeshadow is gleaming, and the only sound you hear is my graceful and completely fabulous dance steps! The locals here seem pretty enamored with Pink Tutu Sparkles, if you know what I mean… they've been giving me that look, the one that says “Oh, to be like you”.
This town is also steeped in theatre! And oh darling, let me tell you, my performance at The Bromsgrove Artrix was spectacular! The crowd was beyond energetic! They were jumping to my music, singing along to my routines – it was pure magic! I swear I felt like a pop princess – except, you know, I had a sparkling pink tutu instead of a shimmering sequined gown! And honestly, isn’t that so much better?
Speaking of glitter, have you ever seen a sunset like the one here in Bromsgrove? Oh darling, it was absolutely breathtaking! It looked like a masterpiece – streaks of apricot, cerise, and lavender, splashed across the sky like a brushstroke! I couldn’t help myself, I had to grab a few photos! I think you’ll agree, they're almost as pretty as me in my sparkly pink tutu. Almost.
It’s time for bed now, darlings, but you know I won’t rest till I get another tutu into the world! Tomorrow, I’m off to discover the magic of a hidden garden with an ancient statue of a dancing ballerina – perfect inspiration for a new routine! Catch you later!
Pink kisses,
Pink Tutu Sparkles.
