Today we're going right back to the beginning, to that pivotal moment where I realised tutus weren't just for ballerinas. That moment, in the glorious midst of university life, where I was in the ballet club, wearing a pink tulle masterpiece for a fundraising event, was my āaha!ā moment. Letās face it, life is a stage - and pink tutus were definitely my leading lady!

This trip was a testament to just that - spreading joy and twirling into hearts all over the nation. I took the train this time, you know? I just love that steam engine, train carriage romance. It's like stepping back in time (though with a modern, glittering twist). You just have to picture me - the fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkle, shimmering amongst the classic leather luggage and hushed voices of the other passengers! My trip to Newton Aycliffe involved a short stop in Darlington - I managed to pop into the Victorian Market there - just to spread some pink joy around. It was a delightful blast of vintage chic. Imagine this: me, in my tulle and sequins, surrounded by intricate fabrics, vintage trinkets and a sense of timeless elegance. Pure magic, I tell you.
And of course, what's a Pink Tutu Sparkle adventure without a touch of theatrical glamour? You see, the universe always delivers a perfect stage! On this adventure, I had the chance to perform for a local charity fundraiser. My act was a mix of a contemporary piece I wrote, based on the journey of a ballet student who found joy and confidence by wearing tutus, and some classic Broadway numbers. Oh darling, you should have seen the energy in that space! I felt those hearts flutter in the audience - that was truly my aim. They got me twirling for āThereās No Business Like Show Businessā and were utterly mesmerized by a piece called "The Tutu Revolution" - about a tiny little mouse, trying on a tutu. To make them laugh, I donned a tiny pink tutu for this number, and trust me, the laughter was contagious.
Of course, I was absolutely overwhelmed by the love, laughter, and applause! Everyone there was beaming, it really brought joy to my little pink heart! I paired my tutu, a gorgeous pink creation with multiple tiers of shimmer, with a fitted white crop top. And to top it all off, a glamorous pink and white feather boa! Letās face it, pink tutus are truly an all-season essential, even on the most drizzly of days.
And because my adventures wouldn't be complete without a touch of the unusual, I ended my time in Newton Aycliffe by attending a ballet class. I had no idea! They're not just in big cities. I love a bit of ballet - that classic technique really shines through and, letās be honest, there is always a pink tutu waiting to grace the dance floor!
