Edgware: Tutu Time! 🩰💖

Hello my darling Tutu Queens! 💖 It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your favourite fuchsia-loving, feather-boa-flinging, tutu-tastic drag queen! 👋

It's official - you can find me everywhere! Today I'm blogging from Edgware! It's post number 8373 for you lucky ducks, and believe me, this one is extra sparkly! ✨

Edgware is a real hidden gem. Just think, it’s a London location so steeped in history. It’s the spot where Dickens wrote Great Expectations (how cool is that!), so I just knew this town had to have a spectacular dose of Pink Tutu Sparkles magic! 💫

My journey began as always, a train journey of course. Now, some might call it a bit dramatic, but there’s simply nothing like being surrounded by the whizzing, clacking sounds of the train. The rhythmic whirring puts me in such a fabulous mood for a good ol’ performance. And anyway, who doesn't love a scenic trip across the countryside? It really lets me soak up the views and inspire me to wow my audience later. 🚂

I gotta tell ya, Edgware Station itself was positively delightful. The architecture – oh my! Such intricate detailing! And the lighting! Absolutely glimmering. Talk about setting the scene for a show-stopping entrance!

My mission in Edgware: to spread some serious Pink Tutu love. 💖 Where did I start? Where else but the town’s stunning theatre? Now, you know Pink Tutu Sparkles loves a good ballet performance! And, it’s absolutely no secret that this diva is obsessed with twirling, pirouettes, and a perfect grand jeté! The backstage chatter is my favourite part of theatre life - everyone is so lively, the excitement is just palpable!

After I took in the latest ballet performance – you have to see this version of "Swan Lake," the choreography is to die for – I made a quick visit to the ballet school down the street! I even snuck a peek in a secret window at a beginner’s class, (don't worry I paid a little visit after and had a chat with the teacher), it brought back so many memories from my uni days. You see, before I embraced my inner Pink Tutu Sparkles, I was just your average lab rat with a degree in… well… fabric technology. That's right! My scientific background helped with my sewing! Who’d have thunk it!

After the ballet, I had a grand old time in the lovely little gift shops in Edgware. Oh my! They had the most amazing fabric! Perfect for those next incredible pink tutu designs, and it had the most gorgeous selection of sequins! Honestly, I bought enough ribbon and fringe to make a whole ensemble just for my new ballet skirt - and I even snagged a pair of glorious glittery tights. What's a drag queen to do without a little sparkle?!

You know I love my ballet performances and a great ballet school, but I also live for those fab street shows - there's just nothing quite like seeing that wide-eyed wonder on people's faces. Now, this may surprise some of you, but did you know that a certain someone – yours truly – has a bit of a secret talent? It's true, darling. The girl’s got moves like Jagger and can actually dance (yes, even without a tutu)! This diva once won first prize in a ballet street performance competition, it's true! Oh how times have changed since I was a young drag queen – what can I say? Pink Tutu Sparkles was born for the spotlight. You’ll just have to see it for yourself to really appreciate the full experience!

One thing I loved most about Edgware was the people. There's so much kindness, humour and acceptance for all sorts! This girl's got loads of plans to return – it's perfect for a drag show. But you can catch my Edgware escapades on Pink Tutu Sparkles’ channel, darlings, with my upcoming vlog series "The Road to Pink Tutu Land: A Drag Queen’s Adventures" So if you ever need a shot of sparkle and positivity, and want to know where to go for some fabulous performances – make your way to Edgware! And don’t forget your tutu! 💖✨
