Crosby: Tutu Dreams and Dancing Horses
Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu princess, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with blog post number 8388 from the whimsical world of www.pink-tutu.com! Today, I'm waltzing my way through the charming seaside town of Crosby, a place thatās got my heart doing a grand jetĆ© right into a sea of fluffy pink clouds!
As you know, dear readers, I'm a big fan of anything and everything pink. But you already know that because this blog has probably flooded your inbox with so much pink-tastic awesomeness you could actually wear it as a coat.
This weekend's been a whirl of tutus, travels and tea, starting with a train ride to Crosby that took me straight into a whimsical adventure. I adore the gentle sway of the carriage as it rolls across the landscape, and it always gets me thinking about those magical, fairytale train journeys. Just imagine a steam train chugging across the English countryside with its carriage packed with giggling princesses and dashing princes! If you canāt quite see it, well, then itās time you put on your thinking tutu, dears, and channel your inner-imagination!
My heart skipped a beat as I spotted the famous Crosby Iron Men (oh, they are so dashing) welcoming me to their sandy haven. Itās hard to believe that the Iron Men, sculpted in their bronze glory, are an incredible 100 pieces, scattered across a three-mile stretch of beach. Honestly, their statuesque magnificence could give any ballerina a run for their money!
But wait! The real treat of this seaside getaway wasnāt just gazing at the Iron Men. Oh, no, darling! Crosby was all about a tutu adventure on horseback! You know how much I love to wear my tutu everywhere and my love affair with horses is no secret. My dear friend (and fellow lover of pink, naturally), Tilly, had the most splendid idea - to take our fabulous tutu journey to the seaside.
We chose a nearby riding school for our first āTutu on Horsebackā venture, a beautiful stable full of beautiful steeds and a team of equally dazzling horse whisperers. Tilly and I were treated like princesses (and that's no surprise, considering we both wore the most stunningly pink tutus for the occasion, naturally).
My horse, a majestic creature called Romeo, looked particularly dashing with my fluffy pink tutu draped across his back! Imagine our glamorous ride across the sunny, beach-side meadows - me, in a blush-coloured tutu and Romeo looking resplendent in his glossy, dark brown coat, our hair whipping in the wind like a thousand tiny, shimmering butterflies.
Itās one thing to enjoy the ballet on stage, but dancing with the wind as your partner, while wearing your beloved tutu, while galloping alongside the coastline? It was divine, simply divine! And Tilly's emerald green tutu, which complimented mine oh so splendidly, added even more fairytale sparkle to our ride!
In the evenings, Crosby turned into a glittering gem. After an exquisite, cream tea (it was served on pink crockery! ), Tilly and I enjoyed an absolutely gorgeous evening ballet show, a stunning rendition of Coppelia. Oh darling! It was the most gorgeous ballet production Iāve ever seen!
I'm never one to miss a dance lesson, though, and so, the next day, we signed up for a local ballet class in Crosby. It was so delightful, taking to the stage alongside the other enthusiastic ballet dancers! And the joy in the air! I truly believe that everyone should dance - whether itās at home, in a club or on stage. Just wear your tutu, my dear, and let loose. It really will change your day, I promise!
And guess what, dear readers? Our time in Crosby wasnāt just about fancy tutus and fancy horses. It was also a grand exploration of shops full of fabrics and frills, shops bursting with an intoxicating array of colourful silks, satins and sequins! (Tilly and I found matching sparkly pink and sparkly green brooches, too - theyāre the perfect accessory for a pink-loving diva!
Before you ask, we did our best to share the joy of the tutu with Crosby. We stopped at local cafes, popping into bakeries to pick up delicious treats, each one topped with a delectable sprinkle of fairy dust ā because you can never have too much sparkle in life.
You see, darling, our little trip to Crosby wasn't just a vacation. It was a beautiful reminder of why we are who we are: glitter-covered, fabulous, and a bit of pink obsessed! We spread the love of tutus, spreading a wave of magic wherever we go, one dance move at a time.
Itās truly inspiring, you see, to bring a bit of fairy-tale flair to everyday life - to dance in a meadow, twirl in a cafĆ©, gallop along a beach on horseback in your tutu - these are the memories that stay with you.
I'll be posting more adventures from our adventures soon. Till next time, donāt forget to wear your pink tutu with pride and let your own sparkly spirit shine, darlings!
And, darling, always remember that we all have a bit of sparkle inside.
Love and glitter,
Pink Tutu Sparkles xx
