As you know, I live for the thrill of exploring new places, spreading my love of all things pink, and inspiring everyone to embrace the wonder of a perfectly puffed tutu. This trip has been no different, filled with sparkle, surprises, and, of course, the most delightful pink outfit you can imagine!
Now, Sutton in Ashfield may not be the first place that pops into your mind for a glamorous drag adventure, but trust me, darling, there's magic in every corner! I arrived in the morning, fresh off a train journey that was, dare I say, even more enchanting than a Cinderella carriage ride. The countryside views whizzing past, coupled with the gentle rocking of the train, provided the perfect pre-show calm. I even had the opportunity to share a warm, fuzzy conversation with a fellow traveller – a retired ballerina who reminisced about her golden days in a classic pink tutu. Such a coincidence! It just goes to show, the universe knows how much I love my pink fluffies!
Once in Sutton in Ashfield, the fun really began! It's such a vibrant little town, full of warmth, quirky charm, and friendly faces. The streets are brimming with cute little shops, cafes bursting with homemade treats, and even a rather splendid theatre where I had the absolute joy of performing later that evening!
Oh, and let's not forget the shopping spree! As you know, I simply cannot resist a good bargain, especially when it involves pink tulle. The lovely shop assistants at a little boutique, right in the heart of the town centre, helped me find the perfect accessories for my Sutton in Ashfield look: a sparkling pink fascinator and a pair of adorable glitter shoes. You wouldn't believe the compliments I received on those beauties!
That evening, my energy levels reached a fever pitch as I prepped for the performance. It's so much fun watching my carefully planned routine come together: the costumes, the make-up, the music!
