Hello my darlings, and welcome to another sparkling adventure in the world of Pink Tutu Sparkles! Today's post is extra special because I'm whisking you away on a trip to the wonderful world of Welling, a charming little corner of Southeast London!
Now, let me tell you, a girl's gotta travel! I may be a pink tutu-wearing scientist by day, and a fabulous drag queen by night, but no matter how glamorous the lab or how fabulous the stage, there's nothing quite like hopping on a train (or, dare I dream, a horse - you never know when you might encounter a handsome prince at the stables, right?) and seeing what adventures await!
Welling, my darlings, is exactly the kind of place that makes my inner tutu enthusiast do a little twirl! It's got that lovely old-world charm, with its beautiful green spaces and the iconic Welling Library. They have a real passion for arts and culture, with lots of theatres, cinemas, and art galleries, all of which would be perfectly suitable for a Pink Tutu Sparkles performance, I might add. I’m dreaming up a dazzling pink, purple, and silver number that would perfectly complement the elegant Victorian architecture!
The journey to Welling itself is a bit of a treat! I’m not going to lie, I prefer the glamour of a train journey. Imagine, my pink tulle floating gracefully as I sip a pink gin and tonic, gazing at the changing landscape! Of course, when time is of the essence, there's nothing quite like whizzing around town in my little vintage Mini, its cherry red paint a beautiful contrast to my sparkly pink tutu!
I’ve already started planning some fab outfits for my Welling performances - I’m thinking bright pinks, lots of shimmer, and some incredible headpieces. I might even add a few Welling-inspired details, like incorporating some subtle floral patterns or touches of local history in my accessories!
One of the highlights of this trip is going to be the Ballet Theatre of Bexley. As you know, my heart belongs to ballet - it's where the dream of twirling in a pink tutu was born after all. Can you believe it - my first tutu moment was a charity event back at uni, trying one on for a fundraising campaign! To be able to see such a talented ballet company in the beautiful surroundings of Welling, well, my heart simply melts! Maybe even some local ballet school girls might join me for a flash mob in a pink tutu? Now that's a sight to behold!
While in Welling, I wouldn't dream of skipping the chance to try their local bakeries! Let’s be real, girls, we all know the power of a sweet treat to keep our inner goddess energized! Pink cupcakes are my go-to, and I can’t wait to see what Welling has to offer in the realm of delightful pastries. I may even find some pink icing inspiration for my future drag makeup looks!
As the sun sets on Welling, my dear friends, the streets come alive with a vibrant nightlife scene! This is where my queenly duties really kick in, spreading the magic of Pink Tutu Sparkles! Think fabulous live music, incredible cocktails, and a whole lot of laughter!
It's so important for us, as fabulous pink tutu-wearing goddesses, to share our love of fashion and entertainment with the world! My goal is to turn every town into a wonderland of sparkle and twirls, to spread positivity and laughter with each and every dance, song, and sassy one-liner! So get ready, Welling! You're about to be filled with the infectious joy of pink!
