Hello darlings! It’s your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing, sparkly-eyed queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another adventure! I've just returned from a whirlwind trip to the gorgeous seaside city of Plymouth and oh my, it was utterly fabulous! Let me tell you, I haven't felt this inspired in ages!
This adventure began with the delightful journey to Plymouth. Oh, the joys of travelling by train! Watching the English countryside zip by as I nibbled on my favourite pink cake (you know, a pink sponge with pink buttercream and little pink sprinkles?!) I can't tell you how much I love trains! It's like a glamorous little journey, you can relax, catch up on gossip magazines, or simply admire the view (and occasionally strike a fabulous pose for a selfie).
Upon arrival, I was met by the most delightful locals who immediately embraced my pink tutu. It truly does melt away all awkwardness! They were all so keen to see my show that evening, and let's just say, I definitely didn’t disappoint! The energy was electric! I swear, even the cobblestones vibrated with the excitement!
I absolutely loved performing in Plymouth! You see, they have a unique kind of magic. Perhaps it's the proximity to the ocean, or the rugged coastline, or maybe it’s the local spirit - but something just makes everyone embrace the theatrical, you know? I've always felt so at home by the sea, it just gives me that extra little boost to really unleash the sparkles!
My show in Plymouth had the crowd captivated. I decided to go for a theatrical approach this time. I imagined a "Voyage to the Sea" themed performance – all shimmering blue fabrics, pearls, a dash of silver and just enough pink to add my signature twist! I had everyone in the room transfixed with my story! I told a tale of a lovely mermaid named Cora (played by yours truly) who wished for a little magic on land. Of course, in this fantasy, I brought the pink tutu in! Cora discovers a dazzling sparkly tutu under the sea and, after trying it on, finds her inner-diva! The rest, as they say, is history! Or maybe more appropriately, theatrical history!
After the performance, it was off to enjoy the city! Plymouth, oh darling, you have a unique charm! I felt right at home among the historic buildings and stunning waterfront. I indulged in a delicious, pink-themed seafood feast, the best crab sandwich I've ever had, then of course, it was off to the shops for some pink tutu inspiration! I discovered this exquisite little vintage boutique brimming with fabrics and costumes from the Victorian era! The most beautiful velvet and silk materials in a rainbow of colours! My eyes were truly dancing with delight! And, darling, you guessed it, I managed to sneak in a pink tutu for my collection!
But Plymouth was not all about glam and shopping (though let’s be honest, who am I kidding?). It's actually incredibly rich in history! My darling, this city really embodies both modern spirit and historic roots! From the Plymouth Barbican with its ancient stone walls to the Mayflower Steps, where the Pilgrim Fathers departed for a new life across the seas, to the Naval heritage museum, packed full of fascinating historical artefacts, Plymouth truly does have it all. I felt truly moved by its history, its stories of resilience, and ambition. The Mayflower Steps particularly touched my heart – that incredible voyage for the sake of freedom – it makes me reflect on what we value and why it’s important to push forward and express ourselves.
For my next big adventure, I'm off to the grand theatre scene of London! I’ve booked tickets to the National Theatre to see an adaptation of the famous ballet, Swan Lake. I'm absolutely thrilled – ballet is so elegant and graceful, I've loved it ever since I was a child. The tutu's are to die for, too, I must tell you! It's not as glamorous as the one I wear on stage, mind you, but so classic and traditional! I can’t wait to watch those graceful dancers, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll bring a pink touch to the theatre! I hear there's this special exhibition about the famous Ballet Russes - who knows, I might be able to get my own custom pink-tutu created! Can you imagine, a pink swan lake? My darling, the world's not ready for it yet!
The day after the ballet performance, it's on to a grand horse riding adventure! Imagine me, galloping through the fields of Berkshire on a beautiful black horse - with my pink tutu, of course! There's just something special about being out in nature and experiencing the speed and power of these magnificent creatures. The wind through my hair, the feeling of freedom, and the sheer joy of connecting with a being so strong – it’s truly divine!

They're overflowing with incredible finds - from silk blouses to vintage dresses – there's something for every fashionista. But more importantly, they often have all those glorious accessories! Brooches, hats, gloves, purses, bags, and shoes – I can practically smell those gorgeous vintage treasures!
In fact, London calls me, the pink-tutu loving Queen. The world’s calling to embrace the magic of tutus, I just know it. Who knows, darling, you might even be rocking your own pink tutu by this time next week. Why wait? Spread the joy! Every time you wear pink, you wear joy.
