Hastings - Oh My! 💖
Hello, my lovelies! 👋 Welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com, your one-stop shop for all things pink, sparkly, and tutu-rific! 🎉 This is post number 8576, and I'm positively giddy to share all the fabulous details of my recent trip to the gorgeous coastal town of Hastings! 🌊
You see, darling, Hastings has always held a special place in my heart. Not just because of its breathtaking seafront and historic castle, but because of its connection to dance. 💃 Did you know, my sweet peas, that Hastings boasts a thriving ballet scene? I’m sure that comes as no surprise to any of my Tutu Queens, you’re a very knowledgeable bunch! 😄 Well, naturally, I simply had to visit!
I decided to take the scenic route, hopping on a delightful train journey down the South Coast, and wouldn’t you know it, my carriage had a viewing platform! 🚂 I spent the whole journey taking in the lush green countryside and marvelling at the charming seaside towns flashing by. Naturally, I was sporting my trademark pink tutu – it goes without saying that a girl's got to be prepared for any impromptu photo opportunity! 💖 Thankfully, everyone I met was absolutely lovely and incredibly welcoming. I can't tell you how much I love the friendly and inclusive vibes in this part of the world!
Upon arriving in Hastings, I checked into the cutest little B&B, with rooms named after famous dancers! Of course, I got the “Degas Suite,” don’t be silly, what else could it be? It even came with a private balcony with a gorgeous sea view – simply divine!
I had my suitcase stuffed with enough pink, tulle, sequins, and feather boas to make a unicorn jealous. (Because let's face it, we all know unicorns have impeccable fashion sense.) ✨ My schedule for the weekend was packed! After all, there was so much to explore.
My first stop, you guessed it – a fabulous ballet class. I couldn't resist adding a splash of sparkle to the class, arriving in my most flamboyant tutu. It was a delightful mix of both beginners and seasoned dancers, with a joyful atmosphere to match. Even the teacher was rocking a stunning pink leotard! I just felt right at home. 🥰
In the evening, it was time to strut my stuff at a local performance at The Stage Door Theatre. It’s a beautiful venue nestled away down a cobbled side street and absolutely buzzing with atmosphere. I managed to secure myself a lovely front row seat and watched with mesmerised eyes as a dazzling display of artistry unfolded in front of me. Oh, the graceful leaps, the flowing lines, and the sheer passion! I was blown away! 🤩
The next morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to explore more of this fantastic seaside town. My first adventure? Well, it wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure without some retail therapy! 🛍 The shopping streets in Hastings were simply delightful! They were crammed full of quirky boutiques with the most fabulous clothes. I was a veritable magpie, drawn to every glittery piece, but you can be sure my favourite find was a delightful pastel pink feather boa to add to my ever-growing collection. It's practically criminal to own this many feather boas. Oh well! 💁♀️
Feeling completely refreshed after my shopping spree, I headed to the beach for a bit of relaxation and vitamin D. The beach was packed, with families enjoying the sun, couples hand-in-hand, and of course, some very enthusiastic dog-walkers. The air was filled with laughter and the sweet sound of children’s laughter, and let’s face it, children are always the best kind of audience, right?! 💕 Oh, and it goes without saying, the sand felt simply heavenly between my toes – in my trusty pink sparkly flip-flops, of course!
Speaking of delightful, my weekend in Hastings wouldn’t have been complete without a visit to the legendary Hastings Castle! 👑 This magnificent landmark is rich with history and tales of conquest, and as someone who is completely infatuated with history and historical dramas, well, let’s just say it left me utterly enthralled! As I walked through the grand gatehouse, I almost imagined myself a regal queen arriving at her court! Of course, I was decked out in a majestic purple tulle skirt with shimmering golden accents! 😉 I’m always the ultimate Queen of the Castle!
The whole weekend, honestly, was like stepping into a storybook. The warm sun, the fresh air, the friendly locals, the stunning scenery, the exhilarating dance performances – it was just perfect! And I, my little loves, had a chance to spread my Tutu love throughout this beautiful coastal town! 🥰
Just to let you in on a little secret… this weekend, a beautiful Hastings resident fell completely in love with pink tutus! Yep, she found me dancing on the seafront with a group of children dressed up in homemade pink tutus. Now, she can’t stop raving about them and is determined to buy a real tutu for herself. Now that’s what I call Tutu magic! 💖✨
My dears, that’s it for Hastings – but you know me! It’s always off to the next adventure, and I have plans to get back on the horse very soon – the kind with hooves and a mane! (Remember, my loves, that I find horses are excellent travelling companions for someone who lives to wear big, fabulous tutus. The train just won't cut it.) Until then, my sweethearts, I encourage you to all go out there, be brave, and live your dreams! And don’t forget – a pink tutu will always be the answer to everything. 💖
Love and Tutu-Hugs,
Pink Tutu Sparkles.
