Hello my lovelies! It’s your favourite pink tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from Finchley! Can you believe it? Me, a Derbyshire lass at heart, dazzling the crowds in North London. I feel like I’m in a dream - one with a lot of glitter and sequins, of course.
Oh, darling, Finchley is just dreamy! The moment the train pulled in, the scent of jasmine and the chirping of robins tickled my senses, I just knew I was going to love it! There’s something about that gentle English countryside air, and the warmth of the welcoming folks…it just made my tutu twirl a little bit faster! 😉
But enough about the journey! You wanna hear all about the incredible events that have had my pink tulle skirt flying high in Finchley! Let's get right into the sparkly details!
A Tutu Ballet Blast!You all know I'm a little obsessed with ballet! Ever since that first blush-pink tutu took me for a spin in uni - when I was just Alex the lab rat, with my nose stuck in test tubes! - ballet's been a passion of mine.
Now, Finchley has this absolutely divine ballet studio called "The Twirling Tutus". It's pink, of course, with a gorgeous mirrored wall and all sorts of delicate, feather-light tutus hanging from the ceiling. I was literally in a trance, you could’ve walked through me.
The teacher, Miss Rosalie, is a total legend - with a heart of gold and moves smoother than spun sugar. We did this beautiful sequence of pirouettes and grand jetés, ending with a grand bow. Just thinking about it makes my knees weak. My tutu practically levitated it was so lovely!
Let me tell you, ballet has been such an incredible journey. And the most wonderful thing is it's open to absolutely anyone. You can be young, old, male, female, or somewhere in between – everyone is welcome! Just grab a tutu and your inner ballerina will take it from there! 💖
Tutu Style with a Local Flare!Now, let’s talk clothes, shall we? Because a pink tutu queen can’t survive without a shopping trip!
Finchley has this delightful little boutique called "Fifi’s Frills" - just the name makes my sequins shimmy. The shopkeeper, a woman called Fiona (who seriously had to be named after the frills!), is like the Queen Bee of vintage finds. I found a gorgeous vintage cocktail dress, with an embroidered pink rose that was calling my name. You’ll see it on my next Instagram post! 🤫
Of course, the shopping didn't end there. I strolled through the high street, where I found some utterly divine feather boas that just made my heart soar. Seriously, Finchley has it all! You've gotta experience it for yourselves.
Tutu Treats in Finchley!Speaking of experience…no visit to Finchley is complete without a sweet treat, and Finchley's famous pink ice cream has got to be the icing on the cake. (No pun intended. Actually, yes, I totally intended that).
This fabulous cafe called "The Whipped Cream Cloud" was like a whimsical sugar wonderland! I got this pink and white vanilla ice cream, with pink meringue swirls. It was pure perfection, with just the right balance of sweet and tangy - a true testament to Finchley’s good taste!
I couldn't have wished for a better first taste of this fabulous town, darling! Finchley is an absolute must for anyone who wants a good time! Just remember your dancing shoes and your pink tutu - and, most importantly, your happy smiles! 💖✨
Tutu Adventures! Onwards to…shhhBut my lovelies, this isn't the end! There's so much more to tell, so many more adventures to be had! The next leg of my Pink Tutu Tour is already planned…but it’s a secret for now! 😉 I’m just too excited!
