Hello, my darlings! It’s your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to sprinkle some glitter on your day! Today, we're headed to Mitcham, a charming town right on the outskirts of London. This glamorous gal's got her pink tutu packed, my sequins are prepped for sparkle, and I'm ready to make some magic happen!
Now, before I dive into the dazzling details of my Mitcham adventure, let me tell you about my journey here. I couldn't resist the lure of the train for this trip. It's all about embracing that old-school, vintage glamour. Plus, I have the most incredible vintage suitcase that perfectly complements my pink tutu and just screams "ready for a day trip!" (You can't be a true pink tutu enthusiast without an amazing vintage suitcase, darling!).
But first, let’s talk about this week’s wardrobe. I have to admit, I was thrilled to choose the tutu for this journey. My heart is filled with so much love for this pale pink cloud of tulle, with little touches of silver thread like tiny twinkling stars – absolute perfection! I think the best bit about this tutu is its massive, full skirt, it just adds that extra sprinkle of fairytale magic I adore.
On top of that, I paired it with a shimmering pink crop top (a must, to show off all that sparkle, you know!), and some darling, delicate gold jewelry, all beautifully set off by my favorite pink lipstick shade. You wouldn't believe the amazing deal I got on it, darling! You know I love finding a bargain, and this one was simply too good to miss!
It’s no secret, I have an absolutely massive weakness for finding vintage treasures in dusty charity shops! Honestly, they’re just overflowing with diamonds in the rough! One of my favourite discoveries lately was a pink feathered boa, and oh my, how I've adored it! It’s just the perfect touch to add a little extra "oomph" to my look, it makes me feel like a cabaret queen ready to step out on stage! It just oozes that glamorous, vintage vibe I absolutely adore!
Of course, this trip wasn’t just about rocking a fabulous pink tutu, although that is undeniably the key ingredient for any successful Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure.
Today was all about the ballet! Mitcham is well known for its dance schools, and I'd been invited to a lovely little performance put on by the local ballet academy. You wouldn't believe the talent these young dancers had! It was truly inspiring to see their passion and grace shining through. They truly reminded me why I fell in love with ballet, that ethereal magic, the delicate storytelling with the body. I couldn't help but get caught up in their graceful movements and soaring leaps - it just reminds me that dreams can really come true. I had a lovely little chat with the dance teachers too – such incredible ladies who are so dedicated to nurturing young talent, it truly warmed my heart! Of course, the conversation veered toward tutus – can't talk about ballet without that fabulous topic – and you know me, I'm always happy to give out some Pink Tutu Sparkles inspired advice!
My whole Mitcham day has truly been a perfect combination of dazzling fashion, breathtaking talent, and the most wonderfully welcoming atmosphere.
Now, this isn't all I'm doing in Mitcham, you know me, I love getting out there and soaking up the atmosphere! You see, I found this lovely little street market crammed with the most fantastic stalls and goodies - and of course, I couldn't resist a good ol’ fashioned spot of shopping!
After lunch, it’s time to head to my favourite Mitcham park! It's surrounded by the most beautiful flowers - think cascading lavender and peonies. I'm planning to lay down my picnic blanket, enjoy the sunshine, and hopefully, do a little sketching. The gorgeous pastel hues are absolutely perfect for my sketchbook - and don’t even get me started on how the floral colours would look against my pink tutu!
There’s truly something so enchanting about Mitcham, I swear the air seems to sparkle. Maybe it’s because this queen brought the sunshine and the magic with her, but there's a joyful buzz everywhere I go. It makes me feel alive!
Speaking of alive, the day isn’t over! Tonight I'm having the best time putting on a show in the town square! This delightful little spot has this gorgeous fountain in the centre and is right in the heart of all the bustling streets. It's surrounded by colourful buildings and shops – and of course, it makes a wonderful little stage for me! A friend even gave me some colourful street banners with my name, "Pink Tutu Sparkles" printed in sparkly pink lettering!
Oh my darlings, this is what makes being a drag artist so fabulous – it’s all about bringing joy and laughter, spreading magic with my colourful tutus and twinkling lights. And there’s nothing quite like dancing in a pink tutu on a balmy summer night under the stars – it simply brings the biggest smile to my face! I can't wait to take my amazing act to Mitcham's bustling heart and hopefully bring a bit of extra joy and extra sparkle to the evening.
