Sutton in Ashfield, You've Been Sparkled!

Hello darlings, it's your favourite pink tutu queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles! Get ready for another dazzling adventure, because guess what? Your girl is hitting the road again! This time, I'm jetting off (well, actually, more like trotting off on my trusty steed... ahem, I mean train) to the lovely town of Sutton in Ashfield, nestled in the heart of Nottinghamshire! 🎉

Now, let's get right to it. This post marks a big one – blog post number 8659! You guys know how much I love to share my adventures with you, from my day-to-day life to my incredible drag performances.

So, what’s a girl got to wear when she's heading to Sutton in Ashfield? You guessed it! It’s time to dig out the pink tutus! And for this trip, I've chosen a vibrant pink tulle tutu that just screams 'fabulous'. It's so voluminous and full, perfect for twirling around like a little pink cloud. (Just be warned, my darling friends, if you’re sitting near me on the train, you’re gonna get some serious tutus in your face!). 💖

Before I tell you all about my dazzling performance at the fabulous venue in Sutton in Ashfield, let me give you a bit of a peek behind the curtain of Pink Tutu Sparkles. (Don't worry, I’m not about to reveal my true identity… unless you catch me with a paint-splattered lab coat on!) 😉

The truth is, I'm not just a drag queen, darling. I'm Alex, a scientist by day, and by night I put on my most fabulous tutu and shine as Pink Tutu Sparkles. The switch between worlds is almost as fast as my change-over in between shows! And yes, that’s right – I do a fair bit of both! The other week, I was in a lab testing the fire-retardancy of pink fabric (I don’t want my tutus catching alight!), and that evening, I was strutting my stuff on stage. Life, darling, it’s one crazy roller-coaster.

It was actually when I was working on my science degree, studying polymers and their fascinating properties (I can go on about it all night!) – it was during a university fundraiser, where I was volunteering to make up as a ballerina (of course, it HAD to be pink!) - that I was given a tutu to wear. And from that moment on, I was completely enchanted. It was like a whole new world opened up to me, a world of glitter, sparkles, and a pink, pink, pink world of happiness! 🩰💖✨

Let me tell you, this love affair with pink tutus goes way beyond a simple fashion statement. It’s about owning my feminine side, embracing every sparkle and colour that shines through, and spreading a whole lot of joy. And honestly, my dear readers, that’s exactly what I aim to do – inspire you all to embrace your inner pink tutu queen.

And that leads me to my big journey to Sutton in Ashfield. You guys know I love travelling by train – something about chugging through the countryside, watching the scenery fly past the window – it’s pure bliss. It’s my perfect time to reflect on the week’s shenanigans, and let my imagination run wild (usually involving more tutus – they’re an endless source of inspiration! ).

Once I arrived in Sutton in Ashfield, I was ready to take on the world. The venue was so vibrant and exciting, with a large stage, shimmering lights, and even a confetti cannon! (Confetti, darling, is like a shower of little stars!). It’s a fabulous feeling, you know, walking out on stage, knowing that you’re there to bring joy, smiles, and sparkle to everyone in the audience. ✨

Before I went out there, I prepped myself in a quiet room backstage – just me and my makeup artist. It was fun to chat, giggle, and swap stories – we even shared a cheeky cup of pink tea while putting on my final touches. And then, it was show time! I'd say, I really outdid myself with this performance. We had fabulous dancing numbers, hilarious jokes (I got a great one about my pink tutu that really got everyone laughing!), and of course, loads of fabulous costumes! There was an amazing sequin dress, complete with a giant bow that almost touched the floor, a pair of ruby slippers that literally made my legs look a mile long, and, of course, I finished the show off in a glorious pink, tulle tutu that looked absolutely magical under the spotlight! ✨

Let’s just say, the Sutton in Ashfield crowd went wild for Pink Tutu Sparkles! It was one of the most energetic, fun, and fulfilling performances I've had in ages. After the show, I spent some time talking to my adoring fans, signing autographs, and taking pictures. Everyone seemed so happy, which really filled my heart with joy. Honestly, darling, the whole experience made my pink tutu spin faster than a spinning ballerina. 💖

You know, my trip to Sutton in Ashfield made me realise – and this might be my biggest revelation ever! - I don't want people to just appreciate my work, but I also want them to do something, I want them to take action! What does that action involve?

Well, darling, it's a simple yet revolutionary thing - wearing a pink tutu! 💖

Let me paint a picture. Imagine a world filled with people embracing their pink side. People strutting about, showing off their fun side. A world where the air is filled with swirling tutus and everyone feels empowered, joyful, and free. It's an exciting vision, don't you think?

Now, it's a fact - my darling readers, that tutus have been a symbol of grace, beauty, and happiness for ages, and for Pink Tutu Sparkles, they've become a symbol of individuality and self-expression! And that's what I'm all about! I believe that everyone can be their most authentic selves by embracing their inner pink tutu queen! 🎉

I know what you’re thinking, darling. “But Pink Tutu Sparkles, I’m a scientist/a builder/a dog walker/a teacher…” The list goes on! You might not think it's something that's right for you, but let me tell you, dear readers, there's a pink tutu out there waiting to help you find your inner fabulous. Try it on! You never know! It could be your new favorite fashion accessory! 😉

So, get ready to go on an adventure with me! Let's make the world a little more glittery and a whole lot more fabulous! You can even join me at my upcoming performances. Find them listed on www.pink-tutu.com – keep an eye out for our tour dates. It's time to spread the pink tutu magic. Let's rock this world, darling! ✨

Keep on sparkling!
