Kingswood Calling: TutuQueen Takes on the West Country! πŸ©°πŸ’–πŸ‘‘

Hello, darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing drag queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with you for another fabulous blog post! Today, I'm serving you a full dose of West Country sparkle from my latest adventure: Kingswood! Buckle up, darlings, because this post is bursting with enough pink, tutus, and tea to fill the entire Queen's Theatre! βœ¨β˜•οΈ

As you all know, I'm on a constant quest to spread the joy of pink tutus far and wide. This means hopping on trains (or maybe even a trusty steed!), rocking the best venues, and shimmying into the hearts of every town I visit. And Kingswood? Well, Kingswood was a delightful surprise, just like a freshly-baked Victoria sponge with a generous dollop of whipped cream! πŸ˜‹

This is blog post number 8684 (don't judge my commitment to chronicling my life, darling, it's a record I like to keep!) and let me tell you, it was a doozy. I had such a delightful time, it was like a ballerina twirling in a dream. I mean, even my makeup bag felt like it was ready for a ballroom waltz!

Now, I'm a little bit of a traditional gal, so my travels always begin with a hearty dose of tea. A proper cuppa, darling, just the way my granny used to make it! (Spoiler alert, it involved a teapot that looked like it was straight out of a Jane Austen novel.) That was just the start of the Kingswood experience. I took a lovely walk around the town, took a stroll in the glorious Kingswood Park, which was so idyllic it could have been straight out of a picture postcard. The fresh air felt positively intoxicating! πŸ’–

Speaking of intoxication, let's talk about the culinary delights of Kingswood! There was a bakery so full of delightful cakes and pastries, I honestly wanted to eat them all! The local café served the best afternoon tea, a true taste of Englishness! And, naturally, I found a fantastically pink-themed restaurant, a total must-visit for any pink enthusiast, darling! 🌸

But let's get back to the main event, the reason I made the journey to this delightful corner of the UK in the first place: the performance! The Kingswood Festival hall was, to be honest, absolutely enchanting! It's always wonderful to perform somewhere new, to discover the unique energy that comes with each new stage. The people of Kingswood were simply lovely, so welcoming and enthusiastic, it was a truly unforgettable night. And as always, my fellow pink-tutu loving queens were out in full force. The whole audience was up and dancing - it was pure magic, and it made all those late nights sewing my new tutu outfits truly worth it.

And just when you think Kingswood couldn't be more magical, it just gets better! There were adorable little shops tucked away in every nook and cranny, each one a gem waiting to be discovered. And the craft fair? It was a visual feast for the eyes, all handmade and filled with local talent! My pink heart was practically overflowing with love and admiration for the ingenuity and creativity I found there. I managed to snag a gorgeous vintage pink feather boa for a steal, too. I knew it would look absolutely divine paired with my new iridescent tutu. πŸ’–

But of course, any good adventure deserves a fabulous souvenir. This is where I confess my love for a little quirk! A good drag queen needs a quirky souvenir and Kingswood delivered in spades! I ended up with a collection of porcelain penguins dressed in pink, and frankly, they are the most delightful thing you will ever lay eyes on!

So, what have we learned about Kingswood, darlings? It’s a place with a real community heart, it has fantastic food, lovely countryside and a venue which absolutely rocks. I left Kingswood feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Plus, my pink wardrobe gained a new member (the boa), and my collection of pink penguin statues got bigger (don't ask, it's a secret passion!). πŸ˜‰

If you're ever looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city, head down to Kingswood. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Now, if you'll excuse me, darling, I have a train to catch! But before I go, don't forget to spread the pink tutu love and visit my website at www.pink-tutu.com to join me on this journey! And, if you ever see a pink-clad queen striding through Kingswood, remember, it could just be your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles! πŸ’•

Until next time, darlings! 😘
