Beeston itself might be a tad sleepy, but this weekend, it's about to get a whole lotta glitz and glamour! It all started with a flurry of pink feathers and a whisper of a request - they needed a fabulous queen for their annual community fair! Oh, how I love those community events - a chance to share my love for the sparkly with everyone, spreading a little pink joy in every direction. 💖
The journey was as fabulous as the destination itself! It was a classic case of "The Queen's Ride" - me in my glittery travelling attire (yes, I do dress up for even the shortest trips!) aboard the train, a shimmering pink princess on her way to spread the love. You wouldn't believe the conversations! I got to share all about my pink tutu passion with a delightful old lady named Margaret, who even confided she'd secretly dreamt of being a ballet dancer as a child! Talk about a tutu-tale of inspiration! 🤩
Speaking of tutus, my costume for tonight is divine! A glorious confection of layers and layers of shimmering pink tulle, with enough sequins to make even a diamond jealous. The design, I call it "Beeston Bloom," features delicate pink roses embroidered around the bodice - it's a nod to the beautiful English garden in the heart of the town. Beeston has a lovely vibe about it - all charming streets, quaint cafes, and friendly locals. We found a darling little tea shop with the most adorable pink teacups! I even got a lovely little pink beret to match my ensemble - the cutest souvenir ever! The atmosphere is so warm, it practically glows! You just feel like everyone wants to celebrate life, dance in the streets, and share a little joy with their neighbour! 😄
This whole "Beeston Bloom" theme has given me a fantastic idea for my act tonight. I'll be combining ballet moves (my favourite!) with a dash of burlesque, all topped off with some sassy fun. My aim, of course, is to inspire everyone in the audience to embrace their own inner "Pink Tutu Sparkles!" The idea is to make Beeston bloom, with joy, with creativity, and most importantly, with lots and lots of sparkly pink! 🎀
