Hitchin: Tutu Dreams and Train Rides! โœจ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿš‚

Blog Post #8716

Hey gorgeous! It's your favourite pink-tutu-loving drag queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, ready to whisk you away on another fabulous journey. Today, we're heading to the charming town of Hitchin! This quaint, historic place feels like stepping back in time with its cobbled streets and traditional buildings โ€“ but with a modern twist. And guess what, darlings? I'm totally rocking a brand new pink tutu with sequined butterfly appliques! It's a sight to behold, let me tell you.

Speaking of dazzling displays, let me tell you about my journey! Now, usually, my preferred mode of transport is a fine, strong horse โ€“ galloping through fields with the wind in my hair, tutu swirling! However, the train ride to Hitchin was just as delightful! I got to meet a lovely old lady with a matching pink hat and we discussed the latest ballet season in London, oh it was just heavenly. I'm sure the other passengers thought we were slightly bonkers, but who cares!

We all need to embrace our inner sparkles, right? Speaking of which, I simply must mention my favourite shop in Hitchin โ€“ "The Dress Up Box"! Imagine a room bursting with vintage fabrics, feathers, and sequins galore, a haven for drag queens and anyone who enjoys a touch of glitz and glamour! My inner child did cartwheels. I left with an amazing selection of tulle and feather boas for my next creation.

Later on, I saw an enchanting ballet show by the Hitchin Youth Ballet - and let me tell you, those youngsters are just amazing! I was practically in tears! I mean, these kids were leaping and twirling, their tutus swirling like fluffy clouds! I swear, I saw one little girl leap high enough to practically kiss the ceiling! I could feel my inner ballerina screaming for joy. It reminded me of my university days, when I was still discovering my drag persona. I was just a shy science student who secretly loved ballet, until that day when I tried on a pink tutu for charity at a student fundraiser. It felt so empowering, so magical โ€“ and it ignited a fire in my soul!

Now, darling, let's not forget the essence of Hitchin! I indulged in a truly delicious afternoon tea with delicate sandwiches, heavenly cakes, and, of course, copious amounts of Earl Grey. I might have added a sprinkle of glitter for extra sparkle! The setting was as pretty as a picture postcard, with flower boxes bursting with colourful blooms and birdsong filling the air.

As evening fell, I had the privilege of performing a short set at the "Hitchin Folk & Acoustic Music Festival". Talk about an experience! Let me tell you, darling, the crowd absolutely loved my performance of "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" - they even threw confetti! My sequined pink tutu truly shined in the stage lights, sending shimmers across the entire festival.

Before you know it, it was time to say goodbye to this captivating town. I hopped back on the train with my feather boas tucked securely under my arm, feeling so utterly inspired by my adventures! I can't wait to incorporate these gorgeous feathers into my next ensemble. It feels as if the town of Hitchin has a little piece of my heart โ€“ just like those magnificent, sparkling butterfly appliques that adorn my brand new pink tutu.

Stay fabulous, my darlings, and remember: everyone can be a queen, just add a pink tutu! You'll be shining bright!

Love and sparkles,

Pink Tutu Sparkles ๐Ÿ’–โœจ
