You'll catch me with my big pink suitcase and sparkly accessories (because who wants to blend in?) perched on the platform, sipping on a latte from my favourite unicorn travel mug, patiently awaiting the next adventure. But the best part is definitely the journey itself - staring out of the window and soaking in the landscapes. Seeing the countryside flitting past and letting my imagination wander is something I cherish, even if it's only for a few hours.
And let me tell you, this trip was particularly dreamy! It's been a while since I visited the emerald isle, and I'd heard whispers about Newtownards' quaint charm. As my train chugged into the station, I felt a buzz in the air, a sense of adventure waiting around every corner. I was greeted by a vibrant scene of bustling life and cheerful people, setting the tone for a wonderfully warm and welcoming stay.

The crowd at the Newtownards show was fantastic. I love seeing diverse audiences from all walks of life embracing my message of love and positivity. Seeing families, friends, and even a few grandmas in their Sunday best really filled my heart with warmth! It felt truly magical to connect with these wonderful people and make their night sparkle with my performances!
Speaking of sparkle, we can't forget the after-party! This was definitely an extra sprinkle of magic for my trip. We partied like it was 1999, with lots of dancing, glitter, and laughter until the wee hours. It's no surprise, of course, that I found myself a gorgeous new pink tulle for my collection during the post-show shopping spree. Can't you see it?! A shimmering, iridescent fabric with pink feather boa trim - I knew it was the one the minute I laid eyes on it!
Of course, my travels aren't just about performing, they're also about soaking up the local culture and letting my inner explorer roam free!
Newtonards was full of surprises - hidden corners buzzing with local artisans, adorable tea rooms offering homemade treats, and antique shops crammed with beautiful trinkets and forgotten treasures. The history of the town was fascinating too. We learned about its rich heritage, and the incredible history behind the iconic "Grey Abbey". There's so much beauty and magic woven into the very fabric of the town - it was truly enchanting to witness it all.
I'm always drawn to places where history and art intertwine - like a perfectly crafted, sparkling, delicate ballet performance. So you know, I had to visit the famous “Lough Neagh" and bask in the magnificent, sweeping vistas of this stunning body of water. The reflection of the setting sun painting the sky in shades of pink, orange, and gold was simply breathtaking. I found myself lost in the beauty of the natural world, letting it inspire me and recharge my creative spirit.
To keep those creative juices flowing, I even ventured to a nearby ballet class! I just had to join the locals in the joy of twirling and dancing - what could be better? It was such a heartwarming experience. To be among the most talented ballet dancers in the area and be a part of this community for a night - truly made me feel part of something magical. I felt that pure, joyful expression of the body, which made my soul feel happy. I could have stayed there all night, soaking up the energy and the graceful movements. It was like a warm, fuzzy hug for the soul!
Now, you all know I'm obsessed with fashion - not only the tutus, but everything in the pink spectrum! That's why I absolutely had to stop by a few independent boutiques, nestled amidst the charm of Newtownards. There were quirky shops overflowing with fabulous vintage finds and unique pieces just waiting to be discovered. And of course, I scored a beautiful pink satin shawl, embroidered with delicate flowers – just perfect for layering on top of my evening dresses. It's going to be the star of my wardrobe for a while!
