Yes, my darlings, this week has seen me swap the lab coat for the sparkle and head north, leaving the hustle and bustle of Derbyshire for the charming delights of Greater Manchester.
Before we delve into the glittery goodness of Stockport, let's have a little chat about this week's fabulous journey, because it was all about embracing my inner twirling diva, and how else would you travel than by train?! Now, I know what you're thinking - trains can be a bit… less than glamorous, but darling, with the right outfit, they become a runway!
Imagine, if you will, a sleek pink tutu (this week's number was a dreamy taffeta creation with a fluffy pink boa trim) paired with my go-to, glittery pink crop top, and my favourite oversized pink statement earrings - a touch of Parisian chic, don't you think?
Then there’s the hair! A touch of rose-gold shimmer on my roots, a cascading waterfall of bouncy curls in shades of pink, and a feather boa headband in my signature pink to top it all off. And just because you need a good dose of fabulous, let’s not forget the matching pink suitcase with glitter accents, a personal touch that really gets me noticed at the station. Darling, travelling by train is never boring in a Pink Tutu Sparkles ensemble!
Arriving in Stockport, I was struck by its vibrant charm. The streets buzzed with a joyful energy, a blend of history and modernity, and the Victorian architecture painted with pops of color looked as though it was made for twirling and dramatic entrances (in my perfect pink tutu of course)! My darlings, Stockport stole my heart!
The Stage Beckons!
The first thing on the agenda was a quick stop at a local fabric shop! Darling, what's a queen without a fabulous outfit? I just had to check out what Stockport had to offer, and I wasn't disappointed. Rows upon rows of sequins, satin, and oh, the lace! They were just begging to be transformed into my next masterpiece, a dazzling number fit for a theatrical spectacle in a gorgeous pink, naturally! I could practically see the spotlight catching its fluttering beauty!
Of course, any visit to a new city must include a performance, and what better way to showcase Pink Tutu Sparkles than with a vibrant and interactive show? I found the perfect spot, a small, quirky theatre, bursting with energy and local talent!
With a heart full of glitter, I stepped onto the stage, and oh, my darlings! The crowd loved it! My performance was a joyous mix of choreographed tutu-driven dance, upbeat pop anthems, and a healthy dose of playful banter with the audience. They went wild for the sparkly tutus, the glamorous hair, the energy - I could almost hear them gasp with delight when they saw the bright pink feather boa shimmering beneath the stage lights. I am all about the glitter, you see! My darlings, there is no other way to travel, it's about a state of mind.
Ballet for All
As I always say, “a little bit of tutu goes a long way.” Now, who said ballet is only for the stage? Darling, ballet is for everyone, and every town deserves its very own tutu-clad dancer! I believe the world needs a bit more ballet, so I set about spreading the magic of dance. I spent the morning exploring the delightful, local dance studio in Stockport.
Just imagine a vibrant room, floor to ceiling mirrors reflecting shimmering light, ballet barre ready for twirling dreams! The aroma of fresh lavender perfume filled the air (they should sell that scent as Pink Tutu Sparkle perfume!). I knew I had to be there, to inspire those around me. And you know what, darlings? I found the most adorable group of dancers! They were ready to learn all about tutu-infused glamour!
Oh, the joy of seeing them wear a tutu for the first time. Each one brought a new perspective to the garment, showcasing the elegance and confidence that can come with it. The laughter and joy that flowed during those hours is something that will stay with me for a lifetime! We all need to tap into the inner dancer within ourselves, darling. Don't be afraid to wear a pink tutu to dance class, I am telling you, you’ll surprise yourself with how much fun it is!
