Hello, darlings! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the beautiful town of Pontypridd! This is blog post number 8989, and you know what that means – another day, another fabulous adventure! 💖
Today's journey started bright and early. I’m not talking 5am bright and early, oh no! I woke up around 10am, darling, after a heavenly night’s sleep (let's face it, it was an extremely full-on gig at the Derby Fun Fair last night… 🎪✨). I knew I needed a good morning ritual, so I whipped up a cup of English Breakfast, settled in with a book (yes, even this drag queen loves to read!) and took my time getting ready. It’s important to have some moments to reflect, gather your energy, and prepare to unleash your inner Pink Tutu Sparkles!
As always, my morning started with my essential pre-show routine: * A splash of icy cold water to wake me up! * A touch-up of glitter on the eyelids… gotta keep it extra! * A generous dusting of the famous “Pink Tutu Sparkles” perfume for a dash of magic! ✨
And, of course, the most important part: choosing my outfit for the day! For today's jaunt, I opted for a vibrant, bubblegum-pink tutu paired with a fluffy white tulle petticoat that I just had to buy during a recent shopping spree in Manchester. 🛍️ My darling friend, Trixie, (she’s a brilliant hair stylist!) put my hair in the cutest, little topknot with a big pink bow. Honestly, the outfit screamed 'poncey princess' and I absolutely adored it!
But before we got to Pontypridd, we had to make a pit stop in beautiful Bath. This city is one of my absolute faves – cobbled streets, charming Georgian architecture, and delightful cafes – it truly has everything! The Bath Festival Hall, where I’d booked a performance, was bustling with eager faces waiting to see my fabulous self! 🥰
The performance was a riot, darlings! I danced and sang my heart out to my signature songs – “Pink Tutu Paradise” and “Let's Go Ballet!”, and I could tell that everyone was truly loving the sparkly, colourful spectacle. 🎭💖 You know, it makes my heart flutter knowing that I'm bringing joy and smiles to every face. That’s why I’m obsessed with putting on shows! There’s truly nothing more magical than seeing the audience come alive with excitement and get into the rhythm of my music. ✨
Afterwards, the audience absolutely flooded my merch table – signing autographs, buying tutu pins, and snapping photos with their phones! One little girl, perhaps about seven, even showed off her own miniature, pastel-pink tutu! This little darling said I inspired her to become a ballerina – her eyes shone like stars. 🥰 I had to hug her and tell her “Oh, sweetheart, never stop shining!” ✨ It’s moments like this, darlings, that remind me why I do this. This journey of spreading glitter and joy – that’s what I live for!
From Bath, I decided to hop on the train for the scenic trip to Pontypridd. What can I say – this journey just felt so "Pink Tutu Sparkles", you know? All the way, I was lost in thought about how many wonderful people I've met on this pink tutu adventure. All those kind faces – they make me feel like my world is bursting with kindness. 💖 And then… we got to Pontypridd, the place I was to spend the night. I’ve always been a bit of a country girl at heart and couldn’t wait to explore all the little independent shops. The moment I arrived, I knew it was somewhere special. The town had an unmistakable charm about it – nestled between green hills and the winding river Taff.
So, of course, I had to grab a little afternoon tea at a beautiful tearoom with a garden! I love having those moments of calm amongst all the craziness – especially when you're a pink-tutu wearing drag queen on the go! A classic scone with clotted cream and jam – oh my! I also took a leisurely stroll along the river, admiring the natural beauty and enjoying the crisp autumn air.
Later, it was off to Pontypridd Town Hall for an engagement that wasn't really what I expected. Imagine, a whole event centred around… a pair of shoes! But, hey, this is a girl who lives for the fun of it all! My performance at the “Pontypridd Shoe Showcase" was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced! Instead of a usual stage, I was performing right inside the biggest shoe shop in Pontypridd.
Now, it would be wrong of me to assume this show wouldn’t go down a storm – everyone knows what kind of sparkle Pink Tutu Sparkles can bring to a stage! And I was right! I literally danced and twirled my way through a mountain of leather boots, glitter pumps and delicate ballet slippers. The whole audience was delighted, giggling, cheering, and throwing shoes! This really felt like a fantastic end to the day!
Today’s adventures reminded me that, sometimes, the most unforgettable moments are born out of the unexpected – like dancing among towering stacks of shoes! My day wouldn't be complete without a mention of the lovely folk at the Pontypridd Tourist Information Center – they welcomed me with open arms (or should I say… open tutu-carrying arms?) and showed me the hidden treasures of their town. These kind ladies showed me all the cutest, pink-est things in town – so naturally, I bought a few! You bet they'll be showing up in my future posts. 🛍️
One thing I learned about Pontypridd: It’s a place with so much heart and history! My next post is already set for a local performance, and I'll share with you my plans for tomorrow. After all, tomorrow is a whole new day to wear a tutu!
