As a drag queen, I'm always on the lookout for new adventures, and when I saw that Broadstairs was calling, I knew I had to answer! My journey began, as always, in a pink tutu. This time, I opted for my shimmering "Strawberry Sorbet" tutu – the colour of a perfectly ripe summer berry – because frankly, Broadstairs was asking for it! This seaside town radiates sunshine and happiness, and I wanted to mirror that joyful energy. Plus, what's a day by the sea without a dash of pink? 💅
I decided to travel by train – you can never go wrong with a good train journey! The view was absolutely breathtaking, rolling hills and green fields flying by as we chugged along. I couldn't help but feel a little bit like a fairytale princess, ready to conquer my new adventure.
My first stop was the heart of Broadstairs, where the little independent shops and art galleries were a delight. Every corner felt bursting with personality, and I quickly fell in love with the unique character of this charming place. I even found the most amazing vintage jewellery store where I nabbed a delicate rose-gold necklace with a tiny pink heart charm – it was the perfect addition to my already dazzling outfit!
After my shopping spree, it was time to indulge in some of that glorious seaside air. But Broadstairs isn't just about its history. This town has a heart of gold, and that golden heart is beautifully reflected in its art scene. I popped into the Broadstairs Art Gallery and was blown away by the beautiful, vibrant exhibitions – from local artists to internationally recognized talents. 🎨 I even caught myself humming along to the piano music coming from the corner room, where a pianist was gracefully tinkling out melodies, captivating everyone around him.
As the day wound down, I felt myself drawn to the dramatic cliffs that line the coastline. I walked along the dramatic cliffs, with the vast sea stretched out before me. It was truly a moment of quiet contemplation – the fresh, crisp sea air clearing my mind and inspiring a new sense of joy. ✨
With a last look at the fiery orange sunset casting its glow over the town, I felt that I'd made the right choice coming to Broadstairs. The friendly people, the beautiful seaside atmosphere, the artistic buzz – it all had come together to make my trip absolutely magical. 💖
