Hello my darling dears! It’s your favourite pink tutu princess, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and today, I’m whisking you away on a magical journey to Norwich! That’s right, my glitter-loving heart is heading to the charming city, and guess what? My trusty suitcase is overflowing with more pink tutus than ever!
Now, before I delve into the glittery goodness of my Norwich adventures, I want to chat a little about how I even got here. For those of you who are new to my glamorous world, let me introduce myself! I'm Alex, a scientist by day, and Pink Tutu Sparkles by night. I live in the lovely Derbyshire countryside and my passion is bringing a touch of pink tutu magic to the world!
My story is, honestly, a little bit of a whirlwind. It all began with a pink tutu. I was at university, deep into my science studies (yes, even scientists need a bit of sparkle!), when I stumbled upon a charity event involving, you guessed it, tutus. Now, I'd always loved dance, loved the swishy skirts of ballerinas, and well, let's just say something about that fluffy, pink tutu took hold of me.
Fast forward, and I became hooked! I even joined the university ballet club, where I discovered a whole new level of tutus. It was pure bliss! My fascination blossomed into a love for performance. Before long, I started experimenting with a little bit of makeup and glitter and, well, let's just say the rest is history! Pink Tutu Sparkles was born!
Now, how does a scientist from Derbyshire become a drag queen touring the country? Well, the answer, as always, is glitter! Since my first gig, which, funny enough, was at a village hall fair in a dusty corner of Derbyshire, I’ve had the absolute joy of bringing my show to festivals, theaters, even wedding receptions (with the happy couple’s permission, of course!).
My gigs, like this trip to Norwich, are a chance for me to showcase my love for everything pink and glittery! You'll always catch me on stage in a different pink tutu – each one handcrafted and overflowing with sparkling gems! I think of it as bringing the magic of the ballet to everyone. You know, what’s better than one fluffy pink tutu? A hundred fluffy pink tutus, right? And if we can all spread a bit of sparkly happiness along the way, even better!
Oh, I almost forgot to mention – the joy of travel is a huge part of what I do! From the comfy carriages of the train to the open road with my horse (yes, I love horses too!), each journey is an adventure. The countryside is such a visual feast, perfect for my Instagram snaps and finding inspiration for new tutu creations! I believe life's too short to not be surrounded by a dash of magic – and what’s more magical than a train journey across the English countryside, on your way to meet new people and share your love for pink tutus?
And so, Norwich here I come! My trusty suitcase is ready, packed with a selection of shimmering pink tutus, a healthy dose of glitter, and my trusty sewing kit for last minute adjustments! You never know, maybe I’ll find a little pink inspiration on the streets of Norwich to add to my collection. I’m a real fan of those beautiful, traditional Victorian buildings, wouldn't it be lovely to add a little tutu flair to those historic facades?
Who knows what my Norwich adventure will hold! It could be a theatrical performance, a bustling market filled with new finds, or a cosy café where I’ll spread my love for pink tutus and write the next blog post. But whatever happens, you can be sure that it's going to be pink, it’s going to be sparkly, and it’s going to be magical!
