The Journey BeginsNow, you lovely lot know I have a penchant for all things train-related. I boarded a first-class carriage, the plush seating and vintage-inspired decor just the kind of setting I need to get my creative juices flowing. Wearing my bespoke pink tutu, adorned with delicate hand-sewn sparkly butterflies, I felt like a glamorous vintage film star making a grand entrance, leaving a trail of pink tulle in my wake!
Before heading to Fulham, I treated myself to a stop in the theatre district for a little ballet inspiration. The Royal Opera House, a monument to classical elegance, never fails to enchant me. Gazing at the graceful ballerinas pirouette and leap across the stage ignited that inner spark of creative energy I just adore.
The Fulham FlingFulham itself was an absolute treasure trove of discoveries. Firstly, I stumbled upon the most charming vintage boutique - filled with delicate lace, elegant hats, and fabulous shoes, all in my beloved shades of pink, of course! I felt like I’d stepped into a Parisian fairytale, and walked out with a truly exquisite vintage jacket adorned with shimmering sequins.
Next, I had a truly delicious high tea at a delightful tearoom which just had to be in a pastel shade of pink - naturally! I was treated to a selection of scones, cakes, and finger sandwiches, accompanied by a selection of speciality teas. It felt almost like I was dining at a Royal Palace – perfect fuel for a day of fabulous discoveries!
### Fulham by Foot: A Tutu’s-Eye View
As always, I had to get a bit more active – what's a pink tutu girl to do but get out and explore, strut my stuff, and spread the love of pink wherever I go? And Fulham has the most enchanting mix of bustling high street and charming side streets to discover!
From exploring the banks of the Thames with its serene views, to the beautifully curated antique shops brimming with hidden treasures, Fulham was full of vibrant, welcoming energy, making it the ideal spot for a pink tutu strut.
One must-visit spot in Fulham was, of course, a dance studio offering ballet classes. As much as I love to tutu it up, my true love is the dance itself! Putting on a pair of pointe shoes always feels magical and a good reminder of how beautiful and expressive our bodies are.
Fulham By Night - Dazzle and DineAs the sun began to set, and the air grew colder, I couldn’t resist adding a touch of festive flair to my pink tutu - think glitter and lights, darling! A little sparkle never hurts, right?
My evening was full of enchantment. I treated myself to dinner at a quaint French restaurant tucked away down a cobbled side street - it’s no wonder Fulham has such a romantic reputation! I had the most scrumptious plate of Coquilles Saint Jacques - you would not believe how beautifully they prepared them! And what else could I drink but a glass of pink champagne, to toast the end of a magical day in the glorious city of London!
I’ll be honest, as much as I love traveling, nothing feels quite as satisfying as returning home to Derbyshire, kicking back in my cosy room and jotting down all my pink-tutu adventures. Fulham truly was an experience I'll never forget, and I already can't wait to get back there and create new pink memories!
