Hello my lovely darlings! Your favourite Tutu Queen is back, and this time we're taking Twickenham by storm, with enough pink to make even the Queen blush! Now, I know what you're thinking - a Tutu Queen in Twickenham? A wild combo, I know, but trust me, it's a match made in celestial, sparkly, tulle heaven!
This little missy was so excited to visit this beautiful town, bursting with history and charm! Now, you see, I've been obsessed with tutus since, well, forever really! I mean, who doesn't love twirling in a perfectly pink, fluffy dream of a skirt?! But, it all started with a fateful university ballet club fundraising event. They dared me to wear a pink tutu for charity - let's just say the rest is history. I was completely transformed! It felt like my spirit had finally found its rightful expression! That moment ignited the flame of my Tutu Queen journey! Now I'm sharing that magic with the world.
But first, darling, let me paint you a picture of my journey to Twickenham!
The Pink Express!
Now, I've always had a thing for travel, but I gotta say, travelling by train is my absolute fave. Imagine me, your Tutu Queen, ensconced in a plush compartment, with my fabulous, pink, polka-dotted travel case filled with tulle, sparkles, and a little pink-hued something special for the Twickenham performance. Oh, the sheer thrill of the chug-chugging of the train wheels, watching the green fields zoom by! There's a magic in train travel that brings out the pure joy in every trip. I love it!
As we approached Twickenham, my heart was filled with anticipation. I knew I'd be spending a truly fabulous few days! The air felt electrifying!
Arriving in Twickenham, Darling!
My first order of business, as you can imagine, was a pink tutu shopping spree! Now, I know that my personal tutu collection is more than enough for a lifetime (and probably several afterlives!), but hey, you can never have too much pink tulle, right? Luckily for me, Twickenham's high street is bursting with amazing independent shops filled with all things delightful and stylish. I snagged the most glorious pink tutu with delicate floral embroidery. This is a showstopper for the ages, I tell you! It’ll be my final twirling act, as the curtain closes on my Twickenham adventure!
Speaking of things fabulous, Twickenham is a true treat for the eyes! The historical buildings are magnificent, the riverbanks serene, and the gardens absolutely bursting with blooms!
But wait, there's more! Remember, the reason I'm in Twickenham is not just to enjoy a shopping spree. Oh no, I was performing! This town knows how to throw a fabulous party and they've been itching for a dose of Pink Tutu magic! I am here to sprinkle that extra something special onto Twickenham's scene, you know. The sheer joy! The contagious happiness! I am bringing all of it to Twickenham and sharing it with the world, through this here blog!
Twickenham's Heart of Gold
After the performance, my energy was still buzzing from the night's performance. It's honestly one of the greatest feelings on earth - that feeling of bringing people joy, connecting with them through dance and song, and a healthy dose of glittery tulle.
Speaking of joy, Twickenham proved to be even more wonderful than I imagined. I had the pleasure of meeting the most amazing, friendly and creative folks! There's a real community spirit in Twickenham, full of warm hearts and even warmer smiles!
One of my favourite moments in Twickenham was an impromptu tea party in the local park. The whole park seemed to burst into colour, and it felt like we were celebrating the end of winter and the promise of sunshine and joy!
You know, darling, Twickenham has something very special. It's that sense of history, culture and community coming together, that sense of family!
From Tutu Queen to Science Queen, a Love Story for the Ages
Now, back to this little tutu-loving queen! Most people don't know that I wear a completely different hat, or shall I say lab coat, by day! You see, I’m a scientist! And that’s why I loved Twickenham so much. There is a scientific history here in Twickenham, too! For all my Tutu Queen sparkly glam and theatre flair, I also have this secret life where I examine fabric to find new materials, that maybe someday will be perfect for Tutu Queen outfits!
I think this makes my story pretty special, right? From lab to stage and back again! Every day I’m surrounded by fabrics. But nothing, nothing, compares to a gorgeous pink tulle. And the stage lights always call me back, to create, inspire and to share that passion for everything sparkly and pink with the world!

My time in Twickenham, although short, was filled with unforgettable memories. I left with my heart full, ready for my next big adventure!
