Today, we’re leaving the hustle and bustle of the big city behind and venturing off to the beautiful seaside town of Bridlington, Yorkshire. A beautiful mix of charming seaside history and vibrant, energetic community life, this seaside town has got me feeling all kinds of rosy! 💖
I know you all know the drill by now, I’m always searching for the best places to twirl my pink tutus. And honestly, Bridlington did not disappoint! Think miles of golden sands, crashing waves, and a whole heap of delightful shops, all waiting to be discovered by a pink-tutu-clad diva like myself.
Now, you all know how I love my trusty old horse – he's a little bit old-fashioned, but a trusty steed nonetheless – for a day trip or two, but this time I decided to switch it up a bit! A little luxury, you know? So, I took the train! All that train journey time, you could almost say, "Pink Tutu Sparkles, what a brilliant idea for some writing!". Oh, how I love a scenic journey through the countryside – it really helps my creativity to flow. You’ll never find me in a crammed car, stuck in traffic! 🚗🤬 No siree! The train's for me, it gives me time to jot down ideas for future pink tutu performances! 🚄💖 It’s all about planning, darlings! And don't forget my secret weapon – my fabulous pink carry-on bag, perfect for storing all my glittering goodies! 😉
Now, you're probably wondering, "What exactly did this tutu-loving, pink-obsessed gal get up to in Bridlington?" Well, let me tell you, I had a weekend packed with fun!
My journey started at the beautiful Bridlington Spa, a real treasure! Built in 1932, it's a historic masterpiece that oozes charm and a touch of the glamorous 1930s – the architecture is truly stunning. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the gardens – the epitome of summer loveliness with vibrant colours everywhere, just like my trusty pink tutu! 🌸
Feeling the need to satisfy a little craving, I waltzed my way into The Harbour Inn. They certainly know how to treat a tutu queen right! I enjoyed the freshest fish and chips I've ever had in my life. And trust me, when I say "fresh" I mean fresh. That fish was practically leaping from the North Sea into my basket! 😋
But a good food stop is never complete without some delightful retail therapy, so I couldn't resist a trip to Bridlington's fabulous high street. It’s a real gem! I absolutely adore those independent boutiques. That's where the real treasures hide, hidden among the charming shops brimming with unique and vintage finds! 😍
Speaking of finds, I just had to check out The Bridlington Farmers' Market – you know how I love supporting local produce. They have the freshest, most vibrant vegetables and local delicacies – truly the best! 😋 I absolutely devoured some scrumptious local strawberries with a dollop of double cream! 😋
Then it was time for some fun! Did you know Bridlington has the longest, most vibrant seaside promenade? It stretches for over three miles, just begging to be explored by a tutu-wearing diva. I even stopped by the "Little World", a tiny funfair where the rides looked just like a scene from a magical fairground painting! What’s more, there’s a carousel and even a little train track where my inner child came out to play! 😍
But you know I can’t be without a bit of culture, and Bridlington certainly doesn’t disappoint. I had to pay a visit to the beautiful Bridlington Museum. From local history to natural wonders, they've got it all! I felt transported back in time and I got to learn all about the history of this fascinating town! It’s amazing what we can learn about history, and its amazing what lessons we can apply today. 🤩
And no trip to the coast would be complete without a visit to the majestic Bridlington Harbour! There are bustling fishing boats everywhere! It was almost as if the harbor were brimming with life! I even spotted a little dog wearing a fetching red bandana! Oh, I think my heart melted just a little bit! It was simply heartwarming to watch families playing in the harbor while enjoying the freshest sea air! 😍
My adventure was nearing its end but before heading home, I just had to grab some sweet treats for my little sister, Ellie. And, naturally, I picked out a lovely, fluffy, bright pink cupcake – with a miniature pink tutu on top, of course! 😍 My little sister always says it’s hard to resist a little “tutu much” – well, you can’t be a real “Tutu Queen” without a little “tutu much!” 💖
In the heart of this bustling, historic seaside town, I just knew that the residents of Bridlington would absolutely love a pink tutu! The next time I find myself back in Bridlington, I'm ready to share a whole load of pink tutu fun with all the wonderful folks I met – wouldn’t you? 🤩

As the train took me back to the city, I couldn’t help but think how fantastically kind everyone was! Every person I met was willing to share a chat, laugh, and some delightful Yorkshire banter!
