Hello darlings! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here! Today's post, a whopping number 9229, finds me tutus and glitter-ready for an epic journey to the heart of the North East: Billingham! You guys, the train journey alone is going to be pure sparkle-tastic. I'm talking wide windows, champagne, and a fabulous soundtrack to serenade us through the countryside. Because let's face it, when you're this fabulous, even the train is a stage!
This whole journey started because a lovely venue in Billingham got in touch, all about how they just HAD to have Pink Tutu Sparkles bringing her unique brand of joy to their lovely town. And of course, when they asked, this queen said "Yes!" (after carefully calculating the train fare, naturally.) My pink tutus are always ready for a road trip!
Speaking of road trips, I have to share the absolute joy I get from these adventures. Now, you know I love my train rides, especially on the old steam lines - all those vintage carriages, they just feel so theatrical! And then, of course, there’s the pure, unadulterated delight of being whisked through the countryside by a horse and cart. (I just know someone will suggest a helicopter - how pedestrian! Pink Tutu Sparkles rides in style, darling!)
While I'm a city girl at heart, there’s something incredibly calming about getting lost in the countryside. And the countryside just feels perfect for rocking my tutu, don't you think? Think me skipping along through fields of wildflowers, my pink tulle catching the sunlight like a rainbow! It’s the kind of vision that puts the biggest grin on my face.
But let’s talk about the show itself. Oh darling, it's going to be pure magic. We’ve got all the essentials – killer songs, jaw-dropping outfits, and of course, the grand finale that will leave everyone screaming for more! Expect all my classic routines: the ones where I make it rain pink sequins (don't worry, it's a special biodegradable kind!), the number where I waltz with my signature ten-foot pink tutu (a show-stopper, trust me!), and even a cheeky, impromptu ballet routine. Don't be surprised if I have you all twirling in your seats by the end.
Did I mention I'm going to be meeting with local ballet groups before the show? Because this queen is always looking to share the magic of ballet and dance. We're gonna be having a little tutu workshop – don't worry, no pressure for full-on twirling, though if you feel the need to let your inner sparkle shine, that’s totally encouraged! It’s all about celebrating the joy of movement and a little touch of fabulous!
And here's a little secret I've been keeping. Did you know I used to be a proper science nerd? Yep, a real lab coat and Bunsen burner kind of girl. (Although my lab coat always had a little touch of pink, don’t you worry!) I even did a science degree. Can you imagine that – pink tutus by night, chemical compounds by day? I tell you, you've got to have a bit of sass in every area of life!
This scientific background came in handy. You see, my love for the tutu wasn't just about the glamour (though, let’s be honest, it is extremely glamorous.) You see, the tutu was originally a charity fundraiser event in our university’s ballet club. I thought I'd give it a try – what harm could it do? And let me tell you, when I twirled onto that stage for the first time, well, it was pure, unadulterated magic! That moment – it all just clicked, and I knew that the pink tutu was more than a garment; it was a symbol.
But now I have a very important job: To get everyone in the world to put on a pink tutu. The more sparkles, the more magic! The world needs more pink, it needs more twirling, it needs more joyful moments, more joy and just plain old good-time vibes. Pink tutus aren’t just a costume; they're a state of mind! They’re about embracing your inner sparkle, and a healthy dose of "Screw it, let's twirl!"
