Wigston Magna: Pink Tutu Sparkles takes on the Midlands!

Hello lovelies! It's your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, coming to you live from the heart of Leicestershire! Yep, this little queen is in Wigston Magna, and trust me, the sparkle factor is OFF THE CHARTS!

This is post number 9240 on www.pink-tutu.com, and I can't believe we're reaching these epic numbers! You fabulous folk have been with me every step of the way as I’ve traversed the land spreading the message of pink tutus and the joy of dance. And guess what? This time I'm not taking the train – I'm riding in style! You know me, always going for the glamorous option! So this trip was a jaunt on the back of a trusty steed, a lovely gentle horse called Rosie. Rosie's a real pro and handled my massive pink tutu like a champ. (We had to adjust the saddle a bit for maximum glitter flow – safety first, fabulous second, as my grandma always said).

Now, before I gush about the incredible Wigston Magna (more on that later, darlings), let me tell you how this little Pink Tutu adventure got rolling. It’s all thanks to you lot, you lovely lot who love my work, you know I’m here for YOU, to share my pink tutu journey. Well, this past week has been a whirlwind. Remember that charity gig at the Derbyshire County Fair? Let's just say the audience loved my "Can-Can" routine in that bright pink sequined tutu. So much so, word travelled. This amazing festival coordinator saw my performance, contacted me, and offered me a spot at a festival. Oh, she also said "bring your whole pink-tutu entourage." Now, who could resist that?

Now, before we dive into my dazzling performance, let’s chat a little about Wigston Magna, shall we? This charming town has got that traditional English market feel with an amazing little vintage clothing shop - let's just say I had to grab myself a new pink sparkly beret to complete my look, and of course I found a beautiful blush-pink scarf in a silky fabric that'll pair wonderfully with the new collection of pink tutus I just ordered! I'm a sucker for beautiful fabrics!

After my shopping spree, it was time for a quick bite at a charming little café. They had a fantastic tea selection (no Earl Grey for me though, I went for something with a fruity note!). Then it was down to the community centre where the festival was taking place. I took a moment to enjoy the gorgeous weather, it was absolutely divine. But, remember the rule: when in doubt, wear pink, so naturally I paired my pastel pink dress (matching the lipstick, obvs!) with a gigantic fluffy pink tutu, because let’s face it, a good fluffy tutu is essential for a full-on dazzling performance. The sun on the pink really popped! I felt like a giant strawberry macaroon - so pretty!

Let's talk about the performance. My setlist? Think upbeat classics, some Broadway favourites with a Pink Tutu Twist, and of course my new showstopper: "Tutus of the World," a powerful tribute to the beauty of tutus around the globe (every tutu deserves its time in the spotlight). I even brought out a guest performer for this number! I love that one, it just speaks to my heart. My dance partner, let's call her "Lily," totally nailed it, the moves were beautiful. She's got the moves, she's got the glam and the grace... she is officially a part of the Pink Tutu Sparkles crew! (Just need to get her some pink tutus... duh).

The Wigston crowd was simply magical. It's one of those towns that really feels like home, and there was a palpable energy in the air. They were singing along, clapping, and some even had their own little tutus to show off! Honestly, you guys are the best. The “Tutus of the World” was a massive hit. A little girl even came up to me afterward and said "I want to wear a pink tutu! Can you teach me?" I gave her a big hug, signed her a picture and told her anything is possible!

You see, that's what it's all about. I get to bring a bit of pink magic and sparkle into everyone's lives. It’s more than a drag act, it's an experience. This journey isn't just about tutus; it's about sharing joy, celebrating beauty in every form, and making the world a little more glittery, one tutu at a time.

And if I can do it, you can do it, lovelies! I see a pink-tutu clad world, full of laughter and dance! This isn't just a dream, it’s a Pink Tutu Sparkles revolution!

Now, you may be asking how a scientist who works in a fabric testing lab all day finds time for all of this! Let's just say that being Pink Tutu Sparkles allows me to embrace my love for fashion, creativity, and most importantly, spreading positivity. When I wear this pink tutu, it’s not about hiding, it's about shining!

So stay tuned, lovelies, because the Pink Tutu adventure continues! Next up, a big show in Manchester - I can't wait to show you all what I've got!

Before I go, just remember – put on your pink tutu, don’t be afraid to be different, and spread the sparkle!

Love, Pink Tutu Sparkles xoxo
