This is post number 9292, can you believe it? I started this blog way back when, and now it's basically become a diary of all things sparkly, fabulous and – you guessed it – pink!
But let’s talk about Southampton! Honestly, you guys, this place is just dreamy! Think of those postcard perfect Victorian seaside resorts, with their iconic piers and colourful beach huts. Just add a sprinkle of magic, a dollop of glamour, and a healthy helping of tutus – because honestly, everything is just that bit more fab when you’ve got a pink tutu swirling around you.
Travel in Style
I journeyed down to Southampton, naturally, in true Pink Tutu Sparkles style. Forget boring buses, I opted for a lovely train journey – think plush seats, sprawling countryside views, and a glass of bubbly (which I might have sipped, perhaps... whispers... accidentally spilled a little). Honestly, getting there felt almost as fun as being in Southampton itself!
Finding the Pink in Southampton
I must confess, Southampton immediately felt like home. Everywhere I looked, I saw the perfect places for a Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure! From the gorgeous architecture, think big buildings, sweeping avenues and parks filled with bright flowerbeds – perfect for a photo shoot (especially with a tutu and some dramatic poses, naturally!).
Southampton is truly blessed with beaches and water. We're talking beaches for miles. You just need a pair of heels and your pinkest tutu, and suddenly even walking along the promenade becomes an impromptu performance!
Tutu Magic at The Mayflower Theatre
Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre – a majestic venue brimming with history! They’ve got an incredible stage, and their upcoming season’s bursting with ballet shows! My heart skipped a beat the moment I walked in - imagine: swirling costumes, soaring music, graceful dancers... It was like a scene straight out of my own dreams! Just imagine a Pink Tutu Sparkles cameo… Now that would be something worth getting a ticket for!
Pink Tutu Fashion Finds
Oh, Southampton, you have spoiled me rotten with your delightful boutiques and vintage shops! Let's just say I was very pleased to find some perfectly delightful additions to my wardrobe. Some shops even had a section devoted to wait for it… tutu accessories! I must have spent a good half hour giggling over feathered hair clips and glitter-dusted tights.
More Than Just Shopping...
Speaking of delightful, let's not forget Southampton’s delightful pubs and restaurants – they just scream "fun"! The locals were absolutely lovely - very welcoming and charming - they just get it, they understand the pink tutu philosophy!
