Today, I'm taking you on an adventure! Not just any adventure, mind you, a PINK tutu adventure. I've been a teeny tiny bit restless and so I'm venturing out from my beloved Derbyshire home (where the fields are just the right shade of green for a pink tutu) for a delightful trip to the seaside! Whitley Bay, get ready to sparkle.
Whitley Bay, you beauty! Now, I'm a big fan of the seaside at any time, but especially when it’s summertime. This is what I imagine mermaids and dancing fairies feel like every single day. But honestly, darling, just the mention of a seaside trip was all it took to unleash my inner girly-girl. This time, instead of my usual whizzy trip by train (though who can resist the romance of a first-class carriage, sipping bubbly while watching the fields go by?), I've taken it one step further! It was time for a pink, tutu-worthy horse ride (yes, you heard me right). It’s a bit of a fashion faux pas for a girl like me, but heaven forbid we are too sensible about these things. I think it might be time for a new wardrobe, what do you think?.
You know, darlings, I believe there’s something just extra wonderful about wearing a bright pink tutu when you are galloping on a beautiful, spirited creature. Think about it - it’s almost like wearing a princess costume… except it’s you, being brave and wild in the saddle! This horse of mine just knows how to put a sparkle in my day - it’s the same kind of sparkle I get after a killer show in my dazzling pink tutu. And speaking of sparkle, I must tell you all about this amazing vintage shop I stumbled upon… right on the front in Whitley Bay, it had to be fate.
Pink Heaven: A vintage tutu love affair
A whole shop full of delighted pink and sparkle! And don’t even get me started on the costumes – the amount of sequined fabric and tulle I saw was frankly outrageous. It was exactly what this Pink Tutu Sparkles had dreamt of - vintage glitz in every shade of pink imaginable. The shopkeeper is a woman after my own heart, darling! She’s the kind of lady who always seems to be planning a fairy tale of her own. She said to me, “You can never have too much sparkle, sweetie”, which is definitely a life motto I can get on board with. Now, she wasn't just being friendly, this place was packed with things that any girly-girl who knows their way around a fabulous frock would adore. Think elegant dresses in dusky pinks, feather boas in vibrant fuchsia, and sequins glittering like stars in a midnight sky. They’ve even got pink high-heeled boots… pink high-heeled boots, darling. Oh, and just look at this new feather boa I’m holding up to the camera! Doesn't it perfectly complement my tutu?

Now, what can you do at the beach with a dazzling pink tutu? Well, quite a lot, actually!

What kind of queen would I be if I didn't post pics for the internet? I’ve been taking so many photos – even with the locals (it's lovely to see a good old-fashioned tourist get my outfits). Let’s just say everyone is feeling my sparkly vibe, darling. This pink tutu has to be seen!
Building the biggest, most fabulous sandcastle.
And, naturally, a pink one! If it's too small or dull it just won’t do! I've got my secret sand-castle making technique that even Sandcastles from The Witcher would blush at. Whisper it's pink dye and plenty of sequins! And remember my dears, sandcastles, especially in pink, need plenty of care and attention, they should never just be thrown up and left alone – not a pink one! We must nurture that love!
Swaying and dancing in the cool breeze
That’s right! Anyone can twirl and dance. Why are we sitting down, darling? Life is always a stage! My dears, it's not just any twirl; it's the Pink Tutu Sparkles twirl. And if you are ever feeling a teeny bit off colour (it happens to us all!) – come join me! There is nothing quite like a little sea breeze in a pink tutu to lift your spirits.
And… of course… a picnic by the sea, pink theme only, of course!
Pink lemonade? Yes please! Strawberries and cream? Darling, why not! Pink marshmallows for my *sparkle* power. It was absolutely a *delicious* way to round off a fabulous day - though you know *what* would be even better? *Pink* fairy cakes. My time in Whitley Bay is far from over, I have got an important drag performance to put on – it’s what I do, after all. But my seaside visit has given me some food for thought. Pink is never out of place, darlings – just look around! Look how much colour this bright and breezy town offers up! There's even pink at sunset.
I've seen it for myself and you can't tell me any different: Pink tutus and sequins bring a little bit of magic to every moment – from my horse-riding escapades to the vintage shop, even to chilling by the seaside. So here’s my message for today: Go out there, grab a pink tutu (maybe two, or even three), and make every moment sparkle. That's what the Pink Tutu Sparkles mantra is all about - spreading the joy and love with every single twirl.
