Hey darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to twirl my way into your hearts and your screens! Today’s post is all about my upcoming trip to the lovely town of Falkirk. I’m so excited, you wouldn't believe it! My suitcase is bursting at the seams with sequins, feathers, and of course, a veritable rainbow of pink tutus (did I mention I'm a little obsessed? ?).
As always, I'll be documenting my whole adventure right here on www.pink-tutu.com. Because who needs boring travelogues when you've got a pink-tutu-clad drag queen sharing every glamorous detail? This time, my journey is taking me north, to Falkirk, where I'll be dazzling crowds with my signature high-energy performance, full of sparkles, sassy dance moves, and of course, a whole lotta pink!
So, how will I get there? Why, by train, of course! What's more glamorous than cruising through the countryside, taking in the sights, with a first-class ticket and a sparkly handbag to match? I might even manage to squeeze in a spot of retail therapy at one of the charming stations, scooping up some new glittery accessories for the show!
Speaking of shopping, can we talk about Falkirk? Honestly, it's a treasure trove for any drag queen! I'm picturing quaint boutiques overflowing with fabulous costumes, glittering jewellery shops, and perhaps even a vintage clothing store that holds the perfect feather boa for my new look. I'll definitely be bringing you along on my shopping adventures!
And once the sequins have settled and the final encore is complete, I'm ready to experience all Falkirk has to offer! The Kelpies, those magnificent horse sculptures, are definitely on my list. Who doesn't love a bit of majestic equestrian charm? I’m also intrigued by Falkirk Wheel - a marvel of engineering and a must-see for anyone with a love for historical sites. It'll make for some amazing photos, I just know it!
Now, before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s rewind a bit and take a moment to remember how I got here, darling! How does a Derbyshire-born scientist turned glamorous drag queen with a tutu addiction even come to be travelling all around the country, bringing joy and laughter wherever she goes? Well, it’s a tale of passion, dreams, and… a charity shop!
As a university student, with a science degree in one hand and a passion for ballet in the other, I was happily twirling my way through life with my ballet club buddies. One day, our club organised a fundraiser, and as part of the event, they asked me to try on a pink tutu for a photo opportunity. Well, let's just say that single moment sparked a lifelong love affair! From that point forward, the pink tutu became a part of my life, even if I was just wearing it around my tiny student flat.
It wasn’t long before the sparkle and joy of that tutu took over my entire being. The scientific world still fascinates me, and I’m still in a lab most days, working as a fabric scientist. But by night, I shed my lab coat and don my signature pink tutu and bring the energy and glamour to any stage I grace! The rest, as they say, is history.
So here we are, on the brink of yet another magical adventure! From my scientist self to my glittering Pink Tutu Sparkles persona, I'm so excited to share my journey with you, my loyal followers!
