Hello my darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from the lovely, quaint little town of Earley! ? As you know, my dearest readers, this little sparkly queen loves to travel, and what better way to explore than by train? I just love the clinking and chugging of those railway tracks, the gentle swaying, the views… Oh, and of course the opportunity to dress up for the journey! This time, my train ensemble was all about floral prints, with a little something extra added… A giant pink bow, naturally! ?
Speaking of my love for pink, it's pretty much a known fact, right? You can't be Pink Tutu Sparkles without embracing the pinkness! And let's be real, isn't pink just the most vibrant, cheerful, fabulous colour? If you're wearing pink, you can't help but feel good. Pink is power, my friends, pink is energy, pink is joy! ?
My trip to Earley was all about the magical world of ballet. As you all know, I absolutely adore everything about it, from the elegant movements to the exquisite costumes (and the sparkly shoes, of course!). It's a world full of grace, passion, and beauty – it truly inspires me. ?
So what brought me to Earley this time? Well, the local dance studio was holding a special ballet workshop with a guest teacher, the amazing Mademoiselle Céleste. She's renowned for her innovative and unique approach to ballet, bringing a modern twist to classic movements. Naturally, I couldn't miss out! I spent the day immersed in pirouettes, jetés, and grand jetés (it wouldn't be a ballet day without a bit of grand jeté, would it?) I even got to try out some new extensions! I may be a bit old for the ballerina life, but who says you can't keep learning and evolving? The whole day was a whirl of twirling, giggling, and… a sprinkle of glitter, of course. ✨
My outfit for the ballet workshop? A bespoke pink tulle tutu, naturally! It was custom-made just for this occasion, with layers of softest tulle and a sparkling crystal-studded belt that I’m definitely re-wearing at my next drag show! Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for some exclusive backstage moments! But more on that later…
After the ballet workshop, I felt inspired, energised, and a little bit achey. I don't think my 20s body remembers being a ballerina! ? But there’s nothing a bit of good food and a lovely, bubbly beverage can't fix. ?
Earley itself is charming, full of little independent shops and cafes with colourful murals and hidden alleyways. It’s got a real old-school village feel, but still buzzing with activity and friendly faces. It’s the kind of place where you can spend a lazy afternoon browsing, enjoying delicious snacks and soaking up the atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where I might just even grab another sparkly hair accessory, too. Don’t worry – you’ll see it in my next post!
I discovered a delightful bakery tucked away on a side street, selling the most scrumptious handmade pastries. I treated myself to a raspberry and custard croissant – just perfect with my afternoon tea! Honestly, every time I’m on the road, I discover another magical little hidden treasure like this! ✨
Of course, no trip to a new town is complete without some proper exploring, and so my little legs carried me off on a wander through the charming, quiet streets. As I strolled, I spotted a little theatre nestled on a corner. It had a poster advertising a production of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". Talk about classic drama! I’m hoping it’s a good performance – I always say Shakespeare is a right good excuse for some sparkly jewellery and a fabulous headpiece, right? My dear friend and I even popped into a shop to pick up a bouquet of the most vibrant sunflowers, a lovely touch for the show!
Before my trip home, I decided to do something a little different… I jumped on the back of a horse-drawn carriage! It might sound a bit eccentric, but let me tell you, it was incredibly romantic! We trotted through the town centre, past the shops and cafes, under the bright September sun. The horse’s name was Sparky, what a cute coincidence, don’t you think? Sparky was such a lovely fellow - gentle and patient and didn’t mind one bit that I couldn't resist a quick photoshoot. My sparkly tutu did wonders to liven up the horse-drawn carriage photo opportunity!
My adventures in Earley were certainly memorable, full of new experiences, a whole lotta glitter, and just a dash of unexpected magic. But hey, that’s what Pink Tutu Sparkles is all about! It’s all about celebrating the joys of life, embracing colour, embracing laughter, and maybe, just maybe, inspiring you all to embrace a little bit of sparkle in your own lives. ✨
