Remember how I mentioned I'm a scientist by day? Well, let's just say my lab coat hasn't seen much action lately! That's because Bexleyheath called me with its theatre and art scene whispers! This place is practically overflowing with ballet studios, local drama groups, and enough artistic energy to fuel a thousand tutus!

Now, I know you might be thinking, "Bexleyheath? Isn't that a little bit…un-tutu?" Oh, but my loves, think again! Bexleyheath has this kind of whimsical charm that just screams "pink tutu princess." The train is my favourite form of transport, mainly because it's my ultimate opportunity to unleash the tutu power. You'd be surprised how much space you get in a standard class carriage. Don't even get me started on First Class! It's practically a tutu runway!

This particular journey involved me changing trains at Victoria Station, and wouldn't you know it, there was this impromptu dance session happening in the waiting area. Naturally, my tutu just had to get involved! Can't say no to a good old fashioned "pink tutu flash mob." We certainly made a splash - you'd be surprised how quickly "The Macarena" becomes a group activity when a pink tutu joins in.

Now, let's get back to the Bexleyheath Arts Festival. The first stop was The Bexleyheath Broadway - oh, this street is packed with all the artsy flair I crave! There were artists showcasing their work, street performers weaving their magic, and oh, my darlings, the smells from the artisan bakery were to die for! The entire place had this vibrant, almost otherworldly atmosphere. I felt like I was transported into a fairytale, only, of course, it was a pink tutu fairytale!

Now, a big part of my artistic pilgrimage to Bexleyheath was, of course, ballet! They have this beautiful Victorian theatre called The Bexleyheath Playhouse. Plus, their program features not just traditional ballets, but they are passionate about modern dance. Now, that's a winning combination if ever I saw one!

It is a good thing my luggage was big!

I also fell in love with this shop called "The Artful Touch" – full of eclectic crafts, but most importantly, beautiful pink accessories! I scored myself a set of sparkly pink shoes!
