Melton Mowbray: Pink Tutu Sparkle-tastic!

Post 9784 - 14th October 2026

Oh darlings! This Pink Tutu Sparkles is absolutely buzzing! I've just arrived in Melton Mowbray, and let me tell you, this place is simply adorable. There's something about the rolling hills, quaint market square, and bustling cobblestone streets that just fills me with excitement.

Now, I know you lovely readers are dying to hear about my journey! I opted for the train, darling! I simply can't resist a good carriage journey, it's all so elegant. My pink sequined suitcase was perched right beside me on the rack, and honestly, I think I received more stares from fellow passengers than I have at a whole season's worth of drag performances. You know me, all about turning heads and leaving an impression!

Before I hit the stage this evening, I simply had to explore a bit! The town has such a lovely charm. I found a vintage shop tucked away down a narrow side street and it was positively bursting with bright pink accessories, which naturally, were all going straight into my shopping basket! I'm planning to put together a rather dramatic headpiece to go with my evening ensemble, just for the sheer, sparkly thrill of it.

Melton Mowbray is famous for its pork pies, isn't it? Honestly, they weren't at all what I was expecting! I took a bite and I simply had to have a second! It was surprisingly sweet, a real taste of heaven. You'd never find me turning down a sugary treat, and it was simply delicious!

Of course, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Sparkle journey without some ballet inspiration. I spotted this stunningly grand, old theatre building just a little way from the market square, a real Victorian beauty! The kind that makes your heart flutter a bit just from looking at it! It reminded me so much of the ballet school in Derby where I got my start with tutus. The dream, right there! It wouldn't be right for me to visit without taking a peek inside!

Honestly, it was absolutely divine! It had that grand theatre air about it! I imagine all the theatrical productions it had seen through the decades, all those performers, all those emotions. You can almost feel it, right? And then, they told me that the Ballet Theatre of the Midlands had actually chosen Melton Mowbray for their touring show next month. Talk about serendipity!

Oh darling! Speaking of serendipity, you wouldn't believe what happened at the market square! I was just browsing a stall full of hats, trying on this enormous, feathered hat, you know the kind that demands attention, and who did I run into? My old friend and fellow performer, Miss Cherry Pop! Imagine the giggles we had when I whipped out my latest Pink Tutu Sparkle creation - a tutu made of brightly coloured felt roses! Cherry popped it straight on, took a whirl, and cried out "You've done it again Pink Tutu! That tutu is absolutely divine!"

Honestly, it just makes me feel so good when my passion for tutus brings smiles to everyone’s faces! You can see how my "Make Everyone Wear Pink Tutus" dream is coming to life!

Now, as much as I adore the sunshine, it’s time to transform! It's show time!

This evening, I'll be performing at the 'Melton Mowbray Festival of Fun', an amazing street party happening in the centre of town, surrounded by funfair stalls, hotdogs, and excited crowds! I'm just brimming with anticipation and already dreaming up my routine!

I'm thinking, maybe a combination of “I Love Pink” with a little nod to the town's heritage, perhaps a slight bit of "Pink Pigs of Melton" – wink wink! It’s always so rewarding to see those smiling faces out in the audience, their excitement building as they watch the show. My favourite thing is catching their eyes, then whipping around, catching my own reflection in their delighted stares as my glitter and the tulle float on the air, leaving a sparkly trail in its wake! I simply can’t get enough of the energy!

Honestly darling, I wouldn’t have it any other way! Follow my adventures and join the Pink Tutu Revolution at www.pink-tutu.com, the place where the fun never stops. Be sure to come back tomorrow to hear all about my performance in Melton Mowbray. I’ll be sharing pics of the costumes, my special pink-themed treats from the town, and all the fun times I have spreading the pink joy!

Until then, stay fabulous and wear a pink tutu with pride, my loves!

Lots of love, Pink Tutu Sparkles xoxo

P.S. Keep your eyes peeled for my very first Pink Tutu Tour, I’m dreaming of travelling across the country in my pink tutu and sharing the love with every single one of you! The vision is becoming reality, my loves, you can already smell the sparkle, right?!
