It’s your fave, Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from Slough! ?✨ Yes, that’s right, I’m taking my glamorous self on a trip to this vibrant little town, all for a fabulous performance later this evening. And what better way to travel than by train, darling? Because when it comes to travelling, I prefer a mode of transportation that’s both chic and sustainable!
Today, my train ride has been nothing short of spectacular. I have to say, the colours on display in the carriage have given my inner artist so much inspiration. ? That shade of cerulean on the seats? Divine! It's a bit of a shock going from my tranquil life in Derbyshire to the bustling heart of the UK - don't get me wrong, I love the bustle! But I do appreciate a bit of calm to inspire me sometimes, especially when working on my scientific projects by day (don't worry, all in the name of perfecting my fabulous tutus, naturally!) ?
Now, I'm not just any drag queen who happens to wear tutus, darlings! It’s much more than that. I wear pink tutus with a passion! They're a celebration of femininity, a sprinkle of magic, and a way to express my unique style! ? Imagine, walking down the street, leaving a trail of glitter and happiness in your wake - it’s the most joyful thing you could ever do, truly!
As always, my pink tutu choice for this adventure is, of course, utterly fabulous! This one is a custom-made confection of layers and layers of soft tulle in a beautiful shade of pink, sparkling with delicate silver beads that shimmer like the night sky. ? I topped it off with a bespoke sequined bodice - because darling, why wear one layer when you can wear ten? ?
I also had the pleasure of chatting with some wonderful people on the journey here! I gave one lovely lady a tutorial on the art of perfecting the perfect tutu twirl, and the gentleman sitting across from me admitted his life was lacking sparkle! ✨ Oh darling, just imagine the delight! I even managed to convince him to order a pink tutu online, which means I’m one step closer to my dream - everyone in a pink tutu! ?
Speaking of dream, I simply must talk about my trip to the ballet last night. Oh darling, it was absolutely exquisite! The dancers were truly captivating! They glided across the stage like butterflies in a storm, so effortlessly elegant and graceful. ? The costumes, the choreography, the music… truly breathtaking! Honestly, it inspired me to pull out my own pointe shoes and do a few graceful pliés right there on the train! ?
It is so amazing how ballet and drag both require a strong commitment to self-expression, physicality, and passion. I’m always drawn to the beautiful stories ballet tells through movement, just like my drag performances tell stories in a way only we can! ❤️
Now, I need to make a final touch up to my dazzling makeup before I head to the venue for tonight’s show. I have some serious sparkle planned, a bit of camp humour, and my signature pink tutus! This performance promises to be truly tutu-nificent, and I can't wait to get on stage! ?
But first, I must tell you all about the local bakery that sits next to the theatre where I’ll be performing. Oh my darling! It’s a total wonderland! Think rainbow sprinkles, strawberry cream tarts and the most delicious macarons you've ever laid your eyes on! ? Trust me, I’ve tasted every single one! I may have even indulged in a rather large (but utterly delicious) slice of chocolate cake while deciding on my ensemble for the show. Don’t judge a queen, darling, a queen's gotta fuel her passion! ?
