Helloooo darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from the beautiful city of Chester! This little corner of Cheshire has totally captured my heart, and it's all thanks to the fabulous folks who invited me to perform at the Chester Town Hall! This is blog post number 9870, folks! You know, sometimes I have to pinch myself – travelling the country, living my absolute best life, all in the name of pink tutus and fabulousness. It truly doesn't get much better than this, honestly.
Before I spill all the tea on Chester, let's rewind a little. How did I even get here? Well, a little bird (or shall I say, a very sparkly butterfly) told me about the amazing theatre scene in Chester, and of course, a Tutu Queen can't resist a good performance! So, naturally, I packed my suitcases, hopped onto the train, and set off for this beautiful historic city. I mean, come on, a Tudor-style city hall, right in the middle of the action? I absolutely love getting to experience different parts of the UK, from bustling city centres to quaint country villages. It's all so inspiring, you know? I’m always finding new ways to mix and match my outfits, incorporate new elements, and find unique pink tutu creations! You guys know I'm a firm believer that pink tutus work anywhere, but seeing them sparkle against a different backdrop – oh my, it's truly magic!
Anyway, back to the show! The Town Hall in Chester was simply breathtaking – with the majestic Roman Walls and all those iconic Tudor-style timber buildings, it felt like stepping into a time capsule! The energy in the theatre was electric, everyone was so excited and ready to be swept away by the magic of my show. I started with a sassy opening number – think Broadway meets fairytale, sprinkled with a whole lot of pink sparkle! I always try to mix up my routine, so this time I included a little ballet-inspired segment, complete with a flowing, perfectly pink tutu. I even surprised the crowd with a brand new rendition of “Pink Tutus Make the World Go Round,” my latest musical masterpiece. I must say, it's catchy and is already spreading like wildfire!
Speaking of my latest obsession, the show had a lovely segment dedicated to celebrating other pink tutu-wearers in the audience. I had a lovely young girl wearing a bright pink tutu, who joined me on stage! I gave her a pink sparkly hair comb, and we danced the night away! Seeing little ones rocking a pink tutu brings such a sense of joy and I was delighted she was part of the show! It really goes to show that pink tutus aren’t just for glamorous gals like me – they can be for everyone! And speaking of glamorous gals, have you seen the shops in Chester? I got so carried away with some divine pink silk, I swear my bag weighs a tonne! The shopping is so exciting, full of quirky boutiques and independent shops selling everything you could ever want - and then some! It's truly a treasure trove for any fashionista, or any pink tutu enthusiast!
Now, let’s chat about my trusty travel companion: The horse. Yep, that's right – I often choose to ride my beloved pony, Pippin, when I'm heading to quieter towns or those beautiful countryside venues! You know me, I like to find a balance between glam and nature, and galloping through rolling hills on a perfectly groomed steed definitely fits the bill. Riding is such a tranquil way to travel, and it really helps me connect with nature and get those creative juices flowing. It's so much more than just a journey – it’s a beautiful adventure that takes my breath away. Pippin loves going on adventures with me and I often put a beautiful pink tutu on him! You haven’t lived till you’ve seen Pippin dancing with a tutu, it really makes my day. He loves the attention!
And before we go, I just wanted to touch on my journey back to Derbyshire. It’s hard work being a touring artist. Sometimes, after an amazing show like the one in Chester, I just want to crawl into bed and never move! However, getting back to the lab in the morning is something I never take for granted. It’s the perfect antidote to my hectic social life, plus you wouldn’t believe some of the fabrics I get to play around with! From delicate lace to durable denim, every day is a brand new experiment, and every thread leads me one step closer to creating the perfect pink tutu!
