Darling darlings! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and this week I've had the absolute pleasure of gracing the wonderful, vibrant streets of Fulham with my pinkest, most sparkly presence. It was a whirlwind of twirling, tiaras, and train travel - all in the name of sharing my love for pink tutus, of course!
This journey started, as usual, with a very pink outfit, this time featuring a voluminous, lavender-hued tulle skirt, and a sparkling pink top that practically begged for attention. A strategically placed feathered boa (always a must!) and my signature oversized pink sunglasses, and I was good to go!
Speaking of good to go, there's nothing quite like arriving in a new city by train. You get a real sense of the atmosphere as the landscape unfolds, and it always fills me with so much excitement for the adventure to come. This time, though, there was an extra dash of adventure... I took the train from Derby to Fulham in style – riding on a horse drawn carriage! Yes, you heard right, a horse drawn carriage! This magical mode of transport took me through the beautiful English countryside, the clip-clop of hooves on the cobbles creating a symphony of joy. It was almost like I'd stepped into a fairytale!
But darling, enough about me - let's talk about Fulham! I can honestly say, the energy was positively electric. This charming district buzzed with a wonderful mix of historical architecture and modern bustle. The cobbled streets, vibrant cafes and boutique shops really captivated me. It felt like the perfect backdrop for a Pink Tutu Sparkles extravaganza.
First on the agenda, a delightful little tea shop right by the Thames. A pot of steaming Earl Grey tea, perfectly crumbly scones, and of course, a magnificent pink-tutu-themed cake, created specially by the shop's incredibly talented baker! You’ve simply got to follow my Insta (PinkTutuSparkles on Instagram - if you don’t already - because, hello, come on now) for pics of the fabulous cake, and, for a behind the scenes peek at my Fulham trip in general!
Then, a must-do - exploring the charming streets of Fulham. It was a symphony of lovely, independently-owned boutiques, overflowing with treasures to spark every fantasy. I was particularly taken with one little shop - they had an absolutely breathtaking display of vintage tutus! My inner fashionista did a little shimmy, and I simply had to buy one!
Speaking of tutus, have you ever tried a ballet class, darling? While in Fulham, I was lucky enough to attend a ballet class with the most incredible teacher. Oh my goodness, her movements were pure magic, each step as graceful as a butterfly flitting from blossom to blossom! This amazing experience had me pirouetting through Fulham's beautiful streets with renewed confidence!
As dusk settled, Fulham's lights twinkled with an almost ethereal glow, inviting me to the theatre. Now, darling, if you ever find yourself in Fulham, treat yourself to a show! There's such a wealth of talented artists performing in the beautiful local theatre, you’ll simply be wowed. I did! I went to see a marvelous production of a classic ballet with dazzling sets and incredibly passionate dancing - and yes, there was a fabulous, shimmering pink tutu, naturally!
My night ended with a touch of magic - I spent some time in Fulham's historic riverside park, watching the sunset paint the sky in glorious shades of pink. A bit of reflection and a little time to just simply bask in the moment are must-dos for any Pink Tutu Sparkle outing!
And so, darling, another pink tutu adventure has come to an end. This trip to Fulham will stay with me, a wonderful whirlwind of pink tutus, breathtaking landscapes, delicious tea, and of course, the kindness and generosity of everyone I met. I was truly taken in by Fulham's energy, its beautiful spirit, and the way the residents embrace uniqueness and fun with such joy.
Remember darling, you never have to take yourself too seriously, especially when wearing pink! Spread a little sparkle, let your imagination run wild, and always remember, there’s a pink tutu out there for everyone.
