So, you know how much I love to travel, right? I'm a total wanderlust queen! I've been lucky enough to grace the stages and town squares of countless places across the land. From the hustle and bustle of London to the seaside charm of Brighton, and even the picturesque villages of my beloved Derbyshire. But this week, I found myself in Rochester!
You might think, "Rochester? What's in Rochester, Pink Tutu?" Well, my darlings, Rochester has a surprising amount of magic to offer. It's a town brimming with history, quirky shops, and even a magnificent cathedral!
But let's be honest, the main attraction for a girl like me was the chance to perform. I simply couldn't resist a venue with a name like the "Rainbow Rooms." How could a girl who loves colour like me not embrace the opportunity to shine bright on that stage?!
Speaking of shining bright, let me tell you about my outfit. We're talking a hot pink tutu, of course, but not just any ordinary tutu! Oh no, this was a bespoke creation, custom made for me by my dear friend, the amazing dressmaker, Penelope. It featured the most beautiful cascading layers of tulle, adorned with glittering silver sequins that caught the light perfectly. On top, I had a shimmering pink bodice with a delicate heart design. And my shoes? They were sparkling ballet pumps in the most gorgeous shade of pink imaginable - just like the delicious ice cream from the little cafe I stumbled upon on the way to the theatre!
I paired my ensemble with a vibrant pink feather boa, and as usual, a hefty dose of glittery pink eyeshadow and a dash of dramatic, yet adorable eyelashes. Let's just say, the stage lights really amplified the magic.
The performance was an absolute delight. The crowd was wonderful, filled with smiling faces and cheers, making my heart sing. My favourite part, as always, was the finale. My grand finale features a special moment with the crowd, a truly fabulous sequence where I distribute handmade pink tutus for every member of the audience!
You can bet the "Rainbow Rooms" was showered in pink tutu love that night. Seeing so many beautiful faces lit up by the joy of a pink tutu - well, it's why I do what I do! I simply cannot get enough of those gleeful smiles!
I'll tell you a secret, my lovelies: I always take photos with my fans, particularly after performances like the one in Rochester. And let me tell you, the Rochester folks were positively adorable! I have a few fab shots with little ones giggling as I presented them with their own personal pink tutu! The look on their little faces when they received those tutus – priceless!
After the show, I couldn't resist a visit to Rochester Castle. I found myself utterly charmed by its history. Can you believe it dates back to 1080?! I just had to imagine those historical figures strolling around these grounds - even taking a quick break to twirl in a pink tutu or two. Honestly, wouldn't it be incredible to have a photo of them rocking pink tutus? That would truly be something to put in the history books!
This week, my lovelies, has really reminded me how special it is to travel and meet new people from different corners of the land. It truly proves to me that spreading joy with a pink tutu knows no geographical bounds!
