Hiya darlings! It’s your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, bringing you blog post number 9956 – and this one is extra special because, get this, I’m heading to Kirkby! ?
You know how much I adore exploring the UK, and honestly, Kirkby has been calling to me like a siren's song! The bustling markets, the cosy pubs, the local art scene... It just screams Pink Tutu Sparkles, right? And it’s all within a tutu twirl’s distance of my beloved Derbyshire, so it’s practically a hometown affair.
Now, let me spill the tea… the journey itself is half the fun! I opted for a train trip, as you can imagine. There’s nothing quite like the rhythmic clatter of the tracks and the breeze tickling my tulle skirt as we glide across the countryside. I even managed to sneak in a little ballet practice in the carriage – imagine me, all swishing pink tutu and impossibly high heels, performing a mini solo! ??
Of course, a fashion queen like myself couldn't go to Kirkby without packing the perfect outfit! I opted for a statement pink sequin tutu with matching sparkly boots and a top that says “Be kind, wear pink!” - gotta spread the love, darling! ? I even popped in a couple of spare tutus, just in case the urge to share the joy of a pink tulle skirt takes over – you never know what adventures await in a place like Kirkby!
First on my Kirkby itinerary: the local arts scene. It seems the place is bubbling over with talent! I've got my eye on a contemporary dance performance that's set to be explosive, and rumour has it, there's a community theatre group putting on a fabulous musical production. I’m so excited to see all the creativity Kirkby has to offer – maybe even inspire a new act! ?
Naturally, no visit to a new town is complete without a spot of shopping! Kirkby has a delightful independent shop scene, full of hidden gems. I can’t wait to unearth some dazzling accessories to add to my wardrobe. A glittery hairpiece here, a feather boa there… my look is already forming in my head! ?
Oh, and you know me, darlings – no trip is complete without a taste of local fare. I've heard tell of a little cafe that serves the most amazing afternoon tea. You know how much I love a good scone and a cuppa! ?
