I've had the most splendid time exploring this gem of a place, and it's all thanks to my love of ballet – because where else could you find a venue with so much grace and elegance, ready to be sprinkled with a dash of pink tutu magic?
It's no secret that I adore ballet, and if there's anything I enjoy more, it's hopping on a train (or, dare I say it, a magnificent steed) and heading off to experience it in different parts of the world. My trusty pink tutu is, of course, always with me, ready to transform a simple train journey into a full-fledged performance.
Now, let's talk about this weekend's trip. Ashton is absolutely teeming with hidden treasures and charming shops – exactly the sort of place that tickles my shopping instincts. I picked up a new pair of fabulous heels in a delightfully quaint little boutique (just imagine, shimmering magenta satin!) and even found a few sparkly additions to my collection of headbands – after all, no Pink Tutu Sparkle performance is complete without a touch of shimmering hair adornment!
But the highlight of the trip was, without a doubt, the Ashton Ballet Studio. I had the privilege of taking a ballet class, which, as you might expect, involved plenty of pirouettes and jetés. The instructor was a complete delight, with the elegance and grace of a true ballerina. Her passion for the art of ballet was simply infectious. Let's just say, after this class, I can barely wait for the chance to twirl my way around the stage, tutus flying!
You know me – my passion for the colour pink knows no bounds. It was absolutely thrilling to witness the transformation of Ashton. This weekend, it became my pink paradise! From the beautiful sunset illuminating the Ashton Memorial in a blushing pink to the sweet pastel treats I devoured at the local bakery – pink was everywhere! My Tutu Queen heart was filled with joy.
Speaking of transformations, I had a fantastic time showcasing my Pink Tutu Sparkles magic on the stage of the Ashton Little Theatre. This lovely venue truly lived up to its name! The audience was full of enthusiastic faces, and I felt such a warmth from their applause. There's simply no better feeling than seeing those twinkling lights reflected in happy eyes.
And you know what? I even convinced a few audience members to join me for a little tutu twirling afterwards. I must say, watching people of all ages embracing the joy of twirling in a pink tutu was simply heart-warming. Who knew a simple pink tutu could create so much happiness?
