Hello gorgeous peeps! ? Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your daily dose of pink-tastic fabulousness, bringing you blog post number 9982 from the sparkly heart of... Chorley! ? That's right, we're about to take over this delightful Lancashire town with a whirlwind of twirling, sequins and enough pink to make Barbie jealous! ?
As always, the Pink Tutu Sparkles show is a truly mobile affair. You know I live for a good adventure, and I’m not exactly known for my love of planes. ✈️ So, a jaunty train journey it was for this fabulous queen, a trip filled with the joy of gazing out the window at the passing countryside and, of course, some serious style-enhancing mirror checks in the carriage mirror! ✨
Now, some of you might know the story of how this little Pink Tutu Sparkles phenomenon got its start. It all happened while I was in the depths of studying my science degree, a life I loved dearly but, to be honest, didn’t exactly call for me to be twirling in a pink tutu, though some might say I twirled my way through the lab in my scientific attire! ?
I was in the university’s ballet club at the time, and we were having a fundraiser. Of course, you know what I am like – I am practically a magpie when it comes to anything sparkly and shiny. My gaze, as if drawn by magic, fell upon a fluffy, voluminous pink tutu. ? "It's a sign!", I thought to myself. A sign to follow the path of the tutu-clad fabulousness! ? That night, as I danced and twirled on stage, I realised there was nowhere I’d rather be – on stage, in my beloved tutu, dazzling everyone with a touch of pink sparkle. ✨
But back to the present, and the exciting news about our Chorley show! I’m absolutely buzzing with anticipation. There’s nothing I love more than bringing a little magic to a new place, inspiring everyone with my infectious enthusiasm for all things pink and dazzling!?
Now, I know what you're thinking: what could possibly bring me to the lovely little town of Chorley? Well, darling, it's a secret, for now! ? But let's just say it involves a certain historical castle that seems to have captured my pink-loving heart, along with a captivating invitation from a dear friend in the theatre scene. ?
Of course, I couldn’t simply go to Chorley without a little bit of a glamorous preparation ritual. ? As always, it had to involve the essential ingredients – plenty of pink, a hint of magic, and the essential pink tutu, naturally! So, I set to work crafting a truly unforgettable look, one that will stop the crowds of Chorley in their tracks! ?
It all started with the quintessential element - a trip to my favourite fashion haven for an epic wardrobe update! I spent hours sifting through racks of dazzling fabrics and textures. Sequins? Absolutely. Feathers? Yes, please! Tulle? A must, my dear. You can never have too much tulle. ? And, of course, my wardrobe had to feature the pinkest of pink shades - just as bright and fabulous as my own joyful personality! ?
My next stop? The bustling world of theatrical suppliers. They always have a wonderful array of stunning, iridescent fabric perfect for making a bold statement! I found some delightful satin fabric that I couldn’t resist – a perfect, gleaming pink, just begging to be made into a beautiful new cape for my Chorley show. It will be simply exquisite. ?
Speaking of fabric, did you know my day job actually involves testing fabric? ? Believe it or not, I’m actually a scientist by day, a lab technician extraordinaire. My colleagues find it quite amusing – "What’s Pink Tutu Sparkles doing working on a fabric project?" they’ll ask. “Don’t tell her, she might add sparkles to the research!” ?
Now, if you haven’t noticed, I happen to be absolutely, positively mad about ballet. ? Ballet is not just dancing, it’s magic; a stunning blend of elegance and strength, a powerful form of art that fills me with a joyful awe. It’s an expression that makes me want to wear pink, twirl like a fairy and simply sparkle from head to toe. ?
So, of course, my Chorley visit would be incomplete without a visit to the local ballet class. ? Can you even imagine? The delightful combination of a pink tutu-clad drag queen, alongside a troupe of graceful, pink-slippered dancers? The ultimate dose of loveliness! ?
As I stepped into the studio, all I could think was: "This is what it means to truly embrace the pink dream! “ It was just a touch of Pink Tutu Sparkles magic that even the most traditional ballet school couldn’t resist. After a morning of elegant moves, graceful steps, and more twirling than you can imagine, I emerged with a renewed love of dance and the added inspiration I needed for my show that evening! ?
So, to recap, I spent the day immersed in my loves – a dazzling pink-tastic wardrobe, some glamorous preparation rituals, a scientific project or two, and, of course, the magnificent world of ballet.
The evening’s show, though? That’s for the pink-tastic people of Chorley to discover! All I can say is that there’ll be sequins, songs, and, oh yes, the pinkest tutu I have ever owned, dancing and twirling in the lights. ✨
