Hello lovelies! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and oh my god, it's blog post number 10008! Can you believe it? ? We're hitting those big milestones like nobody's business. But let's get right to it - today, darling, we're in Rainham! Yes, you read that right, the wind's in my hair, the tutus are rustling, and I'm bringing my fabulous self to this lovely little corner of the world.
Now, I've been saving this post for a special reason. You see, my loves, a while back, I told you I was venturing into the exciting world of, shall we say, alternative transportation. Well, it's official, I'm a proud new owner of a beautiful, dappled chestnut mare! Her name is Rosebud, and I know what you're thinking - she's perfectly named, isn't she? ? The moment I laid eyes on her, I knew we were meant to be. We've already had some truly fabulous rides through the Derbyshire countryside, but Rosebud was just itching to get out and explore, so this is where Rainham comes in!
We’ve actually been on the road for a few days now. It's a bit of a whirlwind getting from Derby to Rainham on horseback. Imagine me, with my trusty pink tutu strapped to Rosebud's saddle (for, of course, emergency costume changes) and my makeup case secured tightly (it’s gotta be protected!). Every morning, we wake up with the sunrise, stop for breakfast at charming little cafes along the way, and Rosebud gets her well-deserved oats while I grab a scone with jam and cream. Talk about a glamorous way to travel, don’t you think?
The reason for this adventure is a real beauty, darlings. This weekend is the Rainham Annual Faire! Picture this, a medieval spectacle of market stalls overflowing with hand-crafted treasures, jousting knights in shining armour, music that fills the air, and... drumroll ... a special performance by moi, Pink Tutu Sparkles! ?
Now, you know I love my theatrics, so, naturally, the fair is practically begging to be pinked up! ? We're talking a whole show dedicated to pink tutus and the sheer joy of embracing your inner queen, no matter your age. My dance routines, inspired by the ballet class I've been attending, will be even more whimsical with the setting! This is, dare I say, the biggest event in my career to date! Rosebud even gets a special role, she's the opening act. ? Don't worry, she's all dolled up with her own little tutu, the sweetest thing you'll ever see!
You won’t believe what happened at the first day of the faire - you have to promise me you’ll get the tea! Oh darling, I found out one of the knight's was a secret, under-the-radar tutu fanatic! ? Can you imagine? So I gifted him a little pink tutu with sequins to add a bit of "je ne sais quoi" to his knight’s garb. You could see his whole face light up, bless his heart, even while his fellow knights whispered behind their hands. We had quite a delightful conversation about the merits of twirling in pink tulle! It's always a joy to spread the love and grace of pink tutus!
The beauty of the fair, my lovelies, isn’t just the magic of the performances, it’s also the people. I've been lucky to meet some extraordinary souls here, each one unique and inspiring. And let me tell you, even though the days are a bit busy, I still make sure to slip into one of those charming pubs in the evenings for a spot of local ale. You wouldn't believe how much a pint of local beer and a bit of gossip with the locals can brighten up a day!
So, while you're reading this, I'm probably on stage, making Rainham sparkle like never before. The atmosphere is electric, the tutus are twirling, and my heart is bursting with happiness.

These days, I’m working on this revolutionary project at the lab: “Project Pink Ribbon.” You see, with my special powers as a science queen, I'm making fabric ribbons shimmer and glow, just like my favourite pink tutu. Imagine fabric that glows with a beautiful, ethereal light when you wear it, even in the daytime! How’s that for a scientific innovation with a fabulous twist? ??
