Alright, darlings! It's your girl, Anya, here, ready to bring you all the fabulous, fluffy, and, of course, pink-tastic news from Tutu Tuesday in Fulham. Now, I know what you're thinking – Fulham? Unicorns? Tutus? What on earth could possibly bring those three together?! Well, my dears, you just haven't witnessed the magical power of a tutu!
This Tuesday, I sashayed into Fulham with my trusty pink sequinned rucksack overflowing with tutus (it's a serious necessity, darling), ready to unleash some serious sparkle upon the world. The day was already shining bright with a summer sun that practically begged to be danced under, so I knew I had to choose my tutu wisely. The classic romantic tutu would have been too much of a good girl for this glorious weather, so I opted for a sassy, fluffy bouffant tutu with a sassy, candy pink hue. This thing was literally bouncing, I mean, you couldn't help but notice the incredible volume – imagine a cloud of the most decadent pink candy floss imaginable and you'll be picturing my tutu precisely. It’s so chic.
Of course, I needed a unicorn touch, because, as any true tutu enthusiast knows, the unicorn is our spirit animal, darling! My little sparkly addition came in the form of a hand-sewn unicorn patch, sporting a sassy rainbow mane and a big, glittery horn, stitched proudly onto my tutu. Seriously, my loves, it's the perfect combo: tutus + unicorns + disco balls + summer sunshine equals absolute pure, unadulterated bliss!
Now, my afternoon started off with a visit to the new Tea & Tutus shop, a total dream for any ballet aficionado, full of sparkly, feather-covered treasures and even a rack full of pre-owned, vintage tutus. This place is an absolute dream. But my highlight, the star of the show? The giant unicorn sculpture that was proudly displayed in the shop's window! Imagine, my darlings, a majestic beast of glitter, rainbow mane and all, draped in a fluffy white tutu! Pure magic! My camera couldn’t get enough.
As the day progressed, Fulham felt more and more like a stage for our tutu extravaganza. I popped into the Fulham Palace Gardens and bumped into the most darling group of ballerinas! Turns out they were holding a flash mob performance of The Swan Lake finale – and, get this – each one of them had a custom, unique tutu! My kind of people! After capturing some amazing grammable moments of the Swan Lake spectacle, we danced along, laughing and twirling with such joyous abandon – it’s the perfect summer fun.
My final destination was the Fulham Road Market, the most dazzling place to find bespoke vintage goods! While I wasn’t hunting for more tutus, because darling, we can never have too much of a good thing, I spotted the most unique unicorn hair accessories. My favourite? A golden horn comb adorned with faux pearl accents. Just too cute!
And, what's a Tutu Tuesday in Fulham without a dash of the sweetest, most delightful treats? We headed for a delightful ice-cream shop called "Rainbow Dreams," the very name screaming of everything fabulous. Of course, the colour pink was at the top of my agenda. You can imagine my absolute joy when I discovered that they had a “Pink Sparkle" flavour. An explosion of the sweetest pink-berry fruit swirled with an abundance of delicious pink sugar crystals, just like the magical sparkles on a pink-tutu dream.
My darlings, if there's one thing I've learnt from Tutu Tuesday in Fulham, it's that embracing the whimsical is the most delightful and powerful act of self-expression! If you're not already twirling in a fluffy, fabulous tutu, why are you not?!
