The sun’s out, the sky’s a beautiful, bright blue, and I’m feeling like a total unicorn princess in this glorious summer weather. And what’s better than basking in the sunshine in a glorious tutu? Nothing, I tell you!
Now, before we get into the nitty-gritty of my outfit, let's chat about this whole Tutu Tuesday business, shall we? If you’re not in the know, Tutu Tuesday is a celebration of the joy and freedom of expressing your inner ballerina through the power of the perfect tutu. We're talking fluffy tutus, frilly tutus, glittery tutus, every kind of tutu! It's a glorious day for expressing your own personal tutu-style, and it's a chance to bring a little bit of magical sparkle to the world. And let’s face it, we could all use a bit of that.
For this week’s Tutu Tuesday adventure, I’m rocking a super-cute pink tutu that I found in this gorgeous vintage boutique on the Kings Road. It's seriously short, giving major disco vibes, and paired with a dazzling silver glitter vest (for extra ✨glamour✨), it’s just the ticket for a day out at the beach.
Remember, it’s all about fun and expressing yourself with your chosen tutu. There’s no right or wrong! A classic fluffy white tutu with a denim jacket is totally cute. If you’re feeling more avant-garde, maybe a sassy black tutu with a bright floral shirt. Anything goes!
Speaking of fun, you can't forget the unicorn! No tutu Tuesday is complete without a dash of mythical magic. I’ve got my little rainbow unicorn plush perched on my shoulder for the full fantasy effect, and you guys know how much I love anything rainbow. It just screams magical, happy vibes!
And speaking of magic… my ultimate unicorn-inspired tutu? Hands down, it’s gotta be the tutu made of unicorn-hair (well, maybe not literally, but it sure feels like it, right?). Think shimmery iridescent colours, maybe even a sprinkle of glitter. We’re talking total fantasy fairy princess realness, perfect for a twirling session in a meadow of wildflowers! (Note to self: Must get my hands on one of these majestic creations asap.)
To amp up the vibe, we've gotta have some awesome music! Disco tunes are always a winner for a tutu day. My personal fav? Anything by Donna Summer, or the Bee Gees - truly, nothing sets off those ballerina moves quite like some old-school disco beats. Plus, a good dose of disco music adds an extra element of sparkle and joy to any outfit.
The whole look just radiates positive energy and self-expression, and what’s better than a good dose of both?
